Shams: Klutch Sports will try to get Darius Garland out of Cleveland if Donovan Mitchell is Re-Signed.

The Heat beat that offer easy. What does spida do for the lakers anyway.

A scoring guard that actually can get to the rim. Garland and Mitch fills that role and so does Murray.

Reaves is super efficient but he nor Dlo could get to the rim enough and it hurt the team in crunch time in the playoffs.

Fair enough. I don’t think they get out of the west with that core but at least you have something to work with when Bron retires

Reeves, Rui and 3 1sts would be a trash offer to you?

How many teams are actually beating that offer? Reeves and Rui both fill big needs for the Cavs as well
That’s not what that poster was mentioning in his post. Nice try defending him :mjlol:

Still also doesn’t change my previous points that Mitchell is ass on defense and would be just another person AD would have to cover for on defense.

He might damn near be the missing piece with his scoring and playmaking. He’s also a superstar which a mandatory for the LA Market

What package can y’all put together to beat that?

Reaves, Vando, Gabe and firsts for Garland is the best that I can do.

I'm hesitant to give up a scoring wing in Rui.

Vando is literally your only high level wing defender. And you’re ready to give him up over Rui?

Rui wouldn’t even be able to score with Bron and Mitchell dominating the ball

Cam was a high level defender before the injuries I'm assuming he comes back.

I open to swapping Rui for Vando but I'm hestitant to give up a scoring wing. Rui averaged near 17/5 in his last 25 games as a full time starter.

Jaquez is more valuable than any player the lakers can offer not named bron/ad.

Unpopular opinion…change coaches and run it back one last time. If you do make a trade then Garland goes. Definitely keeping Mitchell and Mobley. I’m keeping Allen too. He’s not a popular guy these days but he’s a great defensive player and rebounder that can score a bit. The key is finding a coach that can develop Mobley and get Garland to mesh with Mitchell.

Is this considered a failed superteam?

The hype was based on pairing a 25 year old star in Mitchell with 2 first time all stars in Allen/Garland

Not even close to being a superteam considering that Allen and Garland weren’t thought of that way in the first place. Not to mention some of us were sounding the alarm about the fit in the first place.
