Hopefully this doesn't disrupt or confuse the product that the nba draft has become in and of itself

somebody by default HAS to lose and not everyone is capable of getting to 30 wins. It perpetuates this myth that any team can win 30 games if they just work hard.
Yes.. still.. you gotta win the first round pick.. efforts is rewarded the top 3 and its better for those players.. they go in a better situation

Seems like a race for the bottom. Doesnt incentivize teams to spend to stay out the lottery and/or field teams during the end of the season that adds to the entertainment value.

What can be done to keep the same teams out the lottery year after year but still
Maintain value and keep profits?

Active tanking should be punished. I dont see a clear punishment here. But its also using pretty confusing concepts

Needs to be how it was before. His last rules made it worse. If you give better teams a shot at the top of the lottery, you will get fringe playoff teams tanking. Why make the playoffs has a playin 10th seed if missing the playoffs gives me an actual shot at the #1 pick? Adam is gonna ruin the league with his anti tank rules

How shocking that the NBA increased the amount of teams with a legit shot at the #1 pick and it increased the amount of teams tanking

To keep games somewhat competitive, I think there should be something like a point system like the CBA(Continental Basketball Association) used to have.

This point system will be used for every team, but would eventually only matter for teams that miss the playoffs. You get a point for each quarter you win. You get 3 pts for winning the game outright. At the end of the season, take all the teams that miss the playoffs and whoever has the most points, get the #1 pick. 2nd most get the 2nd pick and so forth and so on.

nikkas acting like there’s a perfect scenario. No one can fix this in a way that every fan thinks it’s a great idea and there’s ways to poke holes in every scenario

There are 2 that could work easily.

Abolish Draft

Flatten odds for EVERY team.

Third of NBA teams right now purposely not trying to win games. Kills integrity of the game for small shot at top pick

Went through tanking wars with my Pistons. Luckily it worked out one year with Cade. But dropping to 5 threes years in a row of blatant tanking with best odds was crazy.
They should change the rules to where if you fall into that top 4, you can’t have a top 5 pick for the next 4 years.

Why not just stiffer penalties for teams found to be blatantly tanking? The $500k the Jazz were fined is made up in 1 period of a home game. Closer medical attention to players being sat and stiff penalties (fines and loss of draft position included) would really curb it.

The Jazz could have been used as a prime example if they were truly serious.
