They have a more likable black man in shannon sharpe, and they have a more quality troll in skip Bayless. Skip will soon take some very unpopular positions to get the viewership up, especially once he picks his football teams to pick on and his basketball players to pick on. Got a feeling the knicks and the warriors will be skip targets and rose and durant will be his whipping boys. Everytime they don't come through people will be locked in on skip "unleashing" on them.


Stephen a and max don't move like that. People flock to the drama and shyt talk. So unless stephen A steps his trolling up, and it has to be more than just his fire towards the Cowboys, 1st take will take major hits especially when football and basketball are both going.

I like Max a lot but as much as I hate to say it, Will Cain should have been the choice. Max is too intellectual in debate approach and very pragmatic. Cain is a right wing troll, who would have forced Stephen A to move left of center. I think it would give the show a much more authentic feel. Now it seems like Stephen A. just takes a contrary position from Max for ratings only. I know he doesn't believe half the shyt he is saying. It's like in law class when they make you defend a case you are totally at odds with just to test your power of persuasion.

Shannon made some good points. He almost lost me at black on black crime.

While I agree on most of what he said I've gotta say something that may get people angry.
The problems in the African American communities can not be fixed without significant help from white people. They have the most socioeconomic power. Plus they're the most to blame for the poor condition of our communities.

White people always say "don't blame us for where y'all are at".
Excuse me? Was it not whites who enslaved blacks? Was it not whites who started Jim Crow? Was it not whites who started privatized prisons? Was it not whites in the fbi who let cocaine contra happen? Housing discrimination? Etc etc. this is cause and effect. Black people aren't to blame for the poor condition of our society. Anyone who claims that is a liar with no grasp of history.

We need there help to clean up the mess they made and won't take responsibility for. The system is too deeply fukked up for "it to start with us". I'm not trying to sound like I want a hand out but let's be real. This system is controled by white people and can only be changed by white ppl. The damage that's been done is too deep to just be fixed internally

i just want to talk about it in a sincere realistic setting

not only talk about it when some negroes feel white people are under scrutiny and criticism.

then the conversation is disingenuous and fake. dont talk about only to deflect from criticism to white people, lets talk about the resources and man power it will take to stop us from killing one another

the issue i have is those who run to that argument do absolutely nothing to disrupt the black on black violence, no services, no funding, no organizing, nothing, and all those small grass root organizations dedicated to stopping black on black violence need the platform because local media gives them no voice, and they need the funding because either they are struggling to keep the doors open from they own pocket, or they were 501c3 receiving funding from the state but the Governor has cut millions in funding to those kind of organizations. or where is the funding from these people to help keep the schools open so kids from different neighborhoods dont have to be shoved into 1 school contributing to neighborhood violence, or if they have to be shoved together fund conflict resolution programs so that animosity wont spill into the streets. what are they doing to stop the guns and drugs from coming in? what are they doing to stop a 50% unemployment rate for black men in these impoverished environments? what are they doing to help poor black women to keep their lights and gas on, as those ceda programs are also losing funding and no longer can help. a person would be less prone to go in the streets and rob someone if they got lights on in they home. its many causes that need help that would aid in stopping the violence in our community. but these charles barkley stephen a smith types do nothing to aid those issues, they just sit back living among white people, then when they feel white people are under attack, they come with their black on black crime trump card. its no sincerity in that. and its sad.

you do realize that in order to build an economic base, government assistance is needed right?

jewish, Asians, etc get assistance.
