Dirk is better than Pau so it wouldn’t be a stretch to say Kobe could get 3 with him. It’s all hypothetical anyway
I guess I take the hypothetical as, if someone were in place of Shaq at that time, meaning 2000, 2001, 2002.

Kobe wasn't ready to lead a team to a championship in the early 00s, we know this because after Shaq left it took 4 years to get back to The Finals, 5 years to win a title. So if Kobe wasn't ready to lead a team to a title at that time, you can't replace the best player in The League with an inferior player and get the same results.

Dirk was also unready to lead a team to a championship in the early 00s. We know this to be true, because he didn't.

I think a pairing of early 00s Dirk + early 00s Kobe wins a championship, but 3? Those guys, at that stage of their careers, aren't winning 3 titles.

For the record, I believe that if you gave Shaq Vince or T-Mac instead of Kobe, those pairs also find a way to a title.

In no circumstance do I believe they win 3. Shaq and Kobe were the perfect duo for each other; replacing them with inferior players isn't gonna replicate their success----->only caveat being, replace Shaq with Duncan, a Duncan + Kobe duo is winning 3 rings, at least.

But as you said, its all hypothetical, so if you take the hypo to mean, Kobe and Dirk at any stage of their careers, thats fine.
So he almost won 3 straight with Pau but Dirk is a stretch? :usure:

I agree with you on Dirk if the timeline is early 2000s

I can get with that but couldnt the same be said about VC and TMac? As in they weren't ready at that time to do what Kobe was doing 2000-2002?
Shaq 3 finals mvp on the bounce :whew:

Im just showing what Tim Duncan saw with his own eyes. Kobe was giving them work, while Shaq was playing "second fiddle"... :hubie:

Y’all keep repeating this bullshyt

1. The refs won that game for the Lakers.

In the 4th quarter

2. Shaq was 3/3 3/4 ft and had a game score of 10.3

Kobe was 3/7 3/6 free throws and had a game score of 6

The unmitigated gall to say Shaq didn’t show up in a series where he averaged 27 points, 12 rebounds, on 55%efg :dead:

Shaq shot 99 mutherfukking freethrows, you think the Blazers were worried about fukking Kobe.:laff:

Between this and the Kings series, it was crazy how much the NBA backed this dynasty :scust:

This stat argument supports DunGawd more than anything. Putting the clamps on Shaq :wow:

you gotta be trolling he was paired with Shaq from day 1
Oh…. So you're saying you can win a championship with Shaq before “proving you can win elsewhere” :ehh: Thanks for the confirmation

Also supports the argument that Antonio Daniels being Kobe’s biggest challenge during this period made his life pretty easy :wow:
