every single generation in history thinks the generations that follow are trash

its an unfortunate circle of life

oldheads hated on Shaq when he was in his prime

it just trips me out how we get to a certain age and seem to forget what it felt like being shytted on

to hear nikkas like Cwebb, KG, Shaq, Barkley, even down somebody like Gilbert Arenas....i remember all them being blasted for how much money they were making, shyt they were doing off the court, how the league was watered down and trash, how most of them were soft and unskilled....fast forward, they saying the same exact shyt and nobody seems to have the awareness to notice what they're doing

its even more fukked up when think about how these guys are here to cover and promote the league but spend more time talking about how wack nikkas are :mjlol:

i remember Barkely saying nhl was way more entertaining than the nba WHILE doing an nba broadcast...that cant be good for business can it?

is listening to webber and reggie miller talk about how trash the league is while the games are on, good for the product?

should we get some young nikkas that actually enjoy the league to cover this shyt? :jbhmm:

im just sayin tho....

I was listening to Lebron interview from the pre season, it’s interesting that the nba is the only league where we consistently and on a daily basis discuss players across generations. People are like more likely to compare current players with players from different generation than with their peers.

And these old heads are just like the fans. You see the old heads in the nhl, mlb, uefa and nfl always give mad props to the ones they are commenting on, old head nba players talk like they are at the weigh in with the new gen

Not to derail the thread, and I clearly don't know enough about other sports (just follow UEFA, and other major football events) but I wonder if the game in other sports has changed as much as in the NBA? I mean when you watch an NBA game now and from like 15 years ago it's totally different (3 point shot, spacing, less defense, less physicality, etc), I don't know if that's the same in other sports...maybe that has something to do with the constant bickering between generations? :jbhmm:(not justifying it by any means, just thinking out loud:yeshrug:)
