Does his lifestyle or experience have any bearing on the regular guy who isn't rich and isn't chronically unfaithful? No.

All of this is based on anecdotal or personal experience
In my PERSONAL experience all the women I can safely confide in are women I have a non sexual relationship with. Having a sexual relationship with a woman warps their perspective of me and creates this superman-like entity that I must conform to or otherwise there's an issue.
