Did he give them a lot? Yeah but there a ton of instances of him giving up on the team, but at least unlike Westbrook he understands that hes not that guy that can lead a team and is willing to defer to a better player

He did give them all he had...

Unfortunately one thing that he didn't have was that intangible of raising your play in the biggest moments. He's in the David Robinson/Karl Malone category of being a world beater in the regular season, and just pretty good in the big Playoff moments. There's nothing he could've or can do in the future to change that
