It will take forever for 8Ks to become affordable now.
Secondly media hasnt even caught up with 4k yet.
Its still too early to even buy a 4K

It's mainly a gamer thing where people want 4k and above TV's.

All this will do is kill physical media and we will stream and download all our content. Cuz having to re buy all our films every time there is a new standard is lame.

At some point we will just be able to update to the updated versions of the movies we bought where they do the 16k update as long as we purchased the unlimited upgrade plan with the movie for an additional charge of course

Anything over 1080p from 7' away or more is pointless anyway.

It's a bit early for 8K. That's not even getting to the problem of screen size and sitting distance. For the common person it's questionable if 8K will ever make sense.
