I feel bad for those wcw only fans.

If Vince was smart he would've kept wcw as it's own brand and just rebuilt it in the mold of the southern company that it was.

Would've made more money that way.

Yeah. I feel like those guys stopped watching wrestling on the very day Vince bought it. They're probably Nascar or UFC fans now.

I heard Vince had the intention of running WCW as a separate promotion and was going to have a Saturday night program but Spike, known as TNN at the time, wouldn't give Vince the time slot for a "separate" promotion. To me it would have made more sense for instead of doing the brand split of a Raw and Smackdown brand it should have been a WWE brand and WCW brand.

With the exception of HitGOAT I was always biased towards WCW in the 90's. Even during the dark days of 2000 and early 2001 I was always a loyal WCW fan. Maybe because I'm from the south and WCW was a southern based promotion that was more groomed in "reality" than the gimmicks of the WWF. When Vince McMahon bought WCW a huge chunk of wrestling died. Throughout the summer and into the fall of 2001 my interest in wrestling waned until by early 2002 in completely stopped watching. I only got into wrestling full time again in 2011.

I just cut cable so I won't be watching Raw anymore but will probably follow the Raw threads on TSC.

During the peak of wrestling I was definitely a WCW fan over WWF. WCW just fukked up prolonging the NWO thing and milked it too fukking much. It was dope being able to flip back and forth to quality wrestling. I know I was much younger but it was still fukking good. WWF/E was still going well after WCW demise but lately it's just not good. They've honestly just did a terrible job creating new stars....back in the 90s you never saw washed stars gimmicks to carry the brands like you kinda see now :scust:

I don't keep up w/ the politics too much but I'm assuming Vince is to blame for a lot of this shyt. :manny:....He needs to let his baby go some but I know how it is for older folks when they reach that point :ohlawd:

City of Angels :blessed:
His inept ass put Bagwell in the card when it was known exactly what type of space quality wise Bagwell was in and it was made to bury wcw on purpose.

Man this is 100, exactly how I always felt. I don't know where this BS came from about that match being a "test run" for a new WCW. Vince had no intention of ever doing shyt with WCW.

Of course he wasn't gonna do anything with WCW. Did you see what happened to Sting at WM 31..to Booker T at WM 19...to Goldberg at Summerslam 03....see how DDP debuted in 2001....you see how they made Flair Cripple H's slave in Evolution....

Vince thinks they tried to put him out of business and he's hurt and psychologically fukked up over that. He's out of his mind.

IDK I tuned out about 10 years ago when they went "PG".

Everything feels so conservative now. And they're scared to make their biggest faces heels. Cena never went heel but I grew up watching Bret Hart, Shawn Michaels, hulk Hogan, The Rock, Triple H, stone cold, and Undertaker do it. :mindblown:
