Shes not talking about no truck driving shyt bruh

Most of the time truck drivers like doing that shyt, like being on the road especially the open road, like going to different cities and like not having anyone up their asses all day while they’re doing it.

It’s no damn commute or anything, nothing overly complex about it. Just getting paid to sit on your ass and drive and make money

She’s talking about the system in itself which we all can agree is fukked up and done on purpose. She wasn’t even complaining about the job. Shes complaining about high cost of living to be closer, the commutes, the amount of time she spends being drained by “adulting” and how boomers put this system in place.

She got out of college and realized this shyt sucks which most of us who have been in the workforce already know and kinda just don’t care anymore. People are legit miserable and “thats the way it is”

I actually think the work model should change. WFH almost changed it.
The problem is "boomers created"

Motherfukkers been working hard at work since the beginning of time. In what fantasy land are y'all living in where people barely worked right around the corner from their great paying job and also had endless time for friends and fun?

White people wasn't even doing that

Imagine grinding away at your high-skilled dinosaur job/industry, thinking you're getting it in but 20-year-old kids are making $110/hour. :heh: :mjlol:

I know how it is for tech regarding those internships and new hires are as well - your expectations are pretty low at the company until you get your feet under you.
So chances are they're getting paid much more than you and at a fraction of your stress.

I was talking to a mechanical engineer and they said they were looking for a place paying about $80k ($38/hour) to $90k ($43/hour) at their next job.

They have four years of experience.

That Netflix kid is potentially pulling in nearly a $230k salary, with zero experience - look at the job listing.

Like I said I know a software engineer making $500k with 4 years of experience and an incredible comp package to go along with it all fully-remote.
Dude said he works about 10-20 hours a week (because the team has done a great job setting an efficient system up). That means some weeks dude is pulling in $1k/hour.

These companies are dinosaurs man.

Ya'll really defending this trash culture rather than asking companies to step the fukk up for making you come into an office.
Some fully expect you to put on a suit everyday to "look professional" :snoop:
They don't even compensate your gas then you got to be in an office or share a cubicle next to someone with gas :scust:

To those of ya'll defending this trash, think of that Netflix internship role when you look at your next paycheck.
Are you really getting paid what you think you should be?

That's why I have a real simple motto for these companies, especially if they ever want me to come into an office.

It's very simple:

fukk you. Pay me.

I used to think this stupidly about working from home until my boss talked to me like a man:

You want to work from home right?

Yes of course

And what should we do with the building?

Get rid of it, save money...

Smart idea... And where else can I save money?

What?

Well why am I paying you 75k a year based on cost of living and coming into the office when you're not? Matter of fact, why even pay someone in your state, I can get guys in Iowa who will take 30k.....

Well you know..........

As a matter of fact, since I don't even need an office, why not hire guys from India for 15k and save all the money.. WHY DO I NEED YOU HERE IF I CAN GET ANYONE IN THE WORLD TO WORK HERE?

Ok I'll be coming into work tomorrow

ain't no company getting rid of in office work AND keeping salaries the same AND keeping competitive pay rates in your area when they have no office in that area. Find yourself in NYC getting a Kentucky paycheck real fast

Breh come to NYC and this place is saturated with bitçhes (young and older) who think that Sex and the City is their 10 Crack Commandments instead of a damn show.

They think it’s a feasible reality to be a basic bítch with zero remarkable talent, average looks, no generational wealth — yet it’s supposed to be happy hour 3x a week, trips, an apt in the village and multiple dudes tripping over themselves for a date

Disturbingly accurate.

Wow that was really nice of him. I guess they must really like yall alot, paying u all that extra money just to see ur face in person when he could be paying someone in India 20% of ur salary to work remotely bruh. He must really really like u. Either that or he just has a really big heart, and/or sense of national pride. :mjlol:

U better not test his patience now or he might just change his mind

To keep it a buck, she’s 100 percent right. The current work model doesn’t work in todays society for the most part. I got this off a yahoo story, and the boomers and Gen X comments were shytting on her.

They were told to work hard all your life then retire and relax. Don’t nobody want to waste decades of time working to pay bills, then live out the final 20 years thinking back on all the shyt they missed out on or tying to do all the things they wanted to do in their 20’s and 30’s but couldn’t.

It’s why there’s a mental and physical health epidemic in this country. It’s why drug use is at an all time high.

And to top it off, the money you don’t make doesn’t take you that far. You legit gotta make 100k in most metropolitan areas just to live comfortably.

Younger people are realizing, that 9-5 shyt is bullshyt. I didn’t realize it until I was in my 30’s. And that’s not including layoffs.

She is a crybaby little cac, it's called real life. Most of the planet works this way. Very soft generation...they want everything handed to them...

Who you know doing 4 hour round trips to work everyday?

I had a co-worker that did this about 10 years ago. He worked in Maryland (we both did, Columbia Maryland to be exact) but he lived in southern Pennsylvania.

A McMansion in Maryland wasn't affordable on his salary so he bit the bullet and moved to southern Pennsylvania. 2 hours one way with traffic

See, I'd tell my boss it's 2023 and they can figure all that out or I'm taking my skills/talent/knowledge to a company that will (and there are many).

Especially if you're been at a company long enough, you are more than deserving of getting remote work.

There are aerospace engineers who used to work on-site in hangars that now work remote (it took a few years to earn that right).

If that's doable remote then I'm pretty sure most other jobs are.

Yeah nikka, because they were working for something

Food, survival, building homes and villages, etc.

They wasn’t commuting to bullshyt to sit in another motherfukkers office and make him rich and micromanaged for the fukk of it.

And when they did, they complained about it too. When they couldn’t make a liveable wage for their labor at the time, they complained

Also, taxes and shyt were around forever too nikka and THEY STILL COMPLAINED. Had whole fukking wars over it matter of fact

Whole wars over slavery matter of fact

The issue is, now it’s still the same shyt with a different name change. You would think with how “civilized” we’re supposed to be now, things would be different. Not mothefukkers barely staying afloat

If you think it was better then build your ass a time machine and go back there and see

I mean this is the realest breakdown I’ve seen on WFH. It’s 100% true. These jobs could be WORLDWIDE. I’ve lived in multiple places and one salary will go different ways in different cities. You probably can’t do shyt with 50K in a place like Atlanta or D.C. but imagine they find someone and pay them 50k or less in a really small town? My only thing about WFH.. they see you going to places to shop, concerts, sporting events, etc. I’m sure that factors in them saying get yo ass up and come to work lol. I don’t have any problems with WFH just to be clear :hubie: I mean my best friends wife has been WFH gang for years even before the pandemic. She lives in Atlanta and her job is based somewhere in Kentucky. All that to say I agree with your post lol

So those motherfukkers are the reason labor unions died, taxes and inflation went up, and are literally the micro managers of today..... And yet they also are the people who fought against all of that too??

If that was true then why in 1950 did 34% of black own a home and in 2022 it's 45%... in 2004 it was it's highest at 50% then the crash... But when was this utopia of ownership going down for us? Here's the funny thing..... It's the same for whites.. Their lowest was back in the 50s, highest in 2004, but now it's less than 2004 but waaaaaaay higher than the past..

Numbers don't lie.. Motherfukkers crying over office jobs.. Back then they worked in a fukking factory 12 hours a day.. You think they was crying bout partying and commuting on Monday night?

There was a major company that tried the bullshyt you quoted on my moms about 15 years ago…

A year later they were begging her to come back and even offered her more money and she told the to fukk off :mjlol:

Try that outsourcing shyt if you want to.. how about you pay a solid wage for your area or stfu about people working from home and not spending 3 hours a day in traffic

And with all that bullshyt said in that post, why won’t he just do it now?

Oh, because he probably already tried and it was a fukking disaster. Mad because he paid for a “Headquarters” so he can come in and sit in the big office around his peons, instead of having a wfh policy that doesn’t shift productivity needles and making his talent happy.

That nikka literally got sweettalked by his boss

You think you saying something.. But this is BUSINESS, not friends and likes.. Bottom line is numbers. And if they can get people to do your job, cheaper, they will. After working from home for 3 years, nikkas wanted to bytch on some "They can't fire all of us, we should demand....." and he does actually like me or he'd have said "y'all nikkas fired" instead of "let me holla at you for a second"

See, I'd tell my boss it's 2023 and they can figure all that out or I'm taking my skills/talent/knowledge to a company that will (and there are many).

Do you know aerospace engineering? I don't. What I know is IT. And he can find someone with my skills before the ink is dry on my paperwork. And yes, I could probably find another IT job where I start all over, get to work from home, pray they pay me the same money, and pray they as stable/fun/free as this job...

Point of the story was, it wasn't beneficial to the company to let me work from home and keep all the benefits. Why would anyone think any other company is going to do differently? History has shown, they aren't.. They will ship those jobs overseas like John from T-Mobile with the Indian accent
