I don't know, man. I get what you're saying, but I think Liz is true to her progressive views. I think that if there was someone who had those progressive views and she felt they were a good candidate, she would support them. She just knows that Bernie ain't that guy. Bernie's voter base is half a step away from being Trump's voter base (whether it's cause they share the same values, or would vote for Trump out of spite, or not vote period out of spite).

The rest of the candidates were persuaded to drop out and coalesce around Biden because they were convinced that Joe was the only option to beat Trump, and this election was literally life or death for democracy.

Didn’t Liz take super pac money and lie about it? After all the shyt Biden has been accused of in all his years, Bernie is the sexist one she really goes all out against? FOH nikka. Stop making excuses for that phony ass Washington redskin.

How are you a centrist living in a system that commits structural violence against black and non white peoples, and poor people the only people that are centrists are ones that either don’t see the system as being that bad or it doesn’t affect them, so they don’t mind upholding the status quo, grifters and closet conservatives too embarrassed to be on the right. Pick a side but don’t be a centrist that shyts wack.

Well before MAGA Republicans took over the party, one might have considered me a "both sider". Of course this was before Trump. I would say this period in my life was pre-2008. I felt the same way the current both siders feel. I felt that all of them were devils and one side was trying to stick it to us to our face, while the other side was hiding the dagger behind their back.

What made me change was seeing the ascension of Obama to the presidency and seeing that hmm, maybe there's more to this stuff than I previously thought. I still hold both traditional conservative (no homos, less government involvement, etc) and traditional liberal (antixenophobia, more inclusionary, and progressive, etc) views.

But I do slew to the democratic side because obviously the traditional republic party doesn't exist anymore. But with that being said, I hate this tranny, homosexual foolishness. So I still hold conservative views on certain topics. Its just that I believe MAGA is an existential threat to me and other black people, and so because of that, I'm willing to align with the fudgepackers until we defeat our common enemy.

In 2020, there was literally no one left who knew who Bernie Sanders was who hadn't heard him associated with Socialism. He was a known quantity who had been in the public eye for 40 years and who was in his 2nd presidential run.

And yet he was killing Trump in the polls, more than any other candidate. When Trump called him a socialist, who the hell would be changing their mind? Literally every person who was pro-Bernie would already be aware of that.

I think you're misunderstanding my point. The American people are fickle and forgetful. It doesn't matter what Bernie was last year. They don't even remember. This is the reason why Trump not only tried to cast Biden as a socialist, but also as a crook and someone taking money from Ukraine. And he got a large amount of people to believe that, and a lot of those same people liked Biden during the Obama years and had a high opinion of him.

You are underestimating how powerful campaign messaging is during an election year. These people are spending tens of millions of dollars on political advertising for a reason. Trump's plan was to cast Bernie as a socialist. Bernie wouldn't have survived that politically. Trump was going to demonize socialism the same way he's currently demonizing the FBI and over half the country believes him on that.

Maybe he wouldn't have been able to change the minds of super pro Bernie folks like you, but he would have given him hell with independent voters. And there aren't enough super pro Bernie voters to give him a W in November 2020.

Furthermore, what are we discussing? Are you seriously telling me that Bernie would have a better legislative record in less than 2 years than Biden has?

Biden is doing good right now. Yes the country has soured on him and his polls are down, but let's not pretend as if he isn't making things happen.

And Hillary ain't the only one who said this about him. Bernie is such an a$$hole that Elizabeth Warren, someone he should have had no problem getting to endorse him in 2020, absolutely refused to and instead endorses a centrist Democrat like Joe Biden who she shares no commonalities with rather than endorse Bernie.

to be fair, elizabeth warren is a former republican until her mid 40's and isn't actually progressive. her politics is way closer to biden than sanders.
