ok I'm kind of confused about what's going on here. I do feel that the issue needs to die and be put behind us but I also understand why she's upset about it. So let me see if I understand. The nfl has drinking, gambling, fighting, and substance abuse right? According to you. Ok so then that makes it ok to hit women and children. I mean the players are only there for our "entertainment". Not like they're role models for any little kids right? Bet you wouldn't be getting upset at someone else's outrage if Ray Rice wife was your sister, cousin, or any other female family member. Sure there are other issues that occur in the league but this is one that most people feel strongly about so it's going to be at the top of the list. Not saying that the other issues aren't important tho. If someone wants to be upset about the Ray Rice situation then let them be. Not everyone is going to feel the same as you. As far as 45% of the league fans being females, that may or may not be true. But they still make up a portion of the league fan base and revenue. The nfl is not trying to lose money by showing that they allowed this to happen. Look at what happened with Donald Sterling. He got banned for life for talking bad about black people, and he was the owner of the team. Of course that wasn't a good look financially for him. And all the black fans rightfully were upset about it. So shouldn't women get the same respect on this?
Everything you just said is bullshyt. Fans don't root for the NFL they root for individual teams. A female Seahawks fan isn't gonna stop rooting for the Seahawks just because Ray Rice got a two game suspension. And just because the media covers something to death doesn't mean its an epidemic. HBO just did a piece on Real Sports about how NFL cheerleaders get treated. Non of these women's organizations called for any type of action.
Real NFL fans only care about their teams and their football. Everyone else that's trying to preach are simply casual bystanders. If you really followed the sport for any reasonable amount of time, you wouldn't pop off about domestic abuse being a problem.

I am aware that domestic abuse is not a problem in the league because a majority of players aren't or have never been involved in that type of scandal. Or any other crimes for that matter. But you're over here catching feelings and calling her a c*nt bytch just because she feels strongly about the issue. She's entitled to her opinion like everyone else. You say the fans only care about their own teams and not the nfl. Well are you a ravens fan? Because if not then what happens with their team shouldn't concern you. It sure doesn't concern me. But the league knows this incident isn't good for their image, not the team but the league. Look at the steroids incident in baseball. Only a few players took them, yet the league had every team testing. Same with the nfl and the recent performance drugs suspensions. Hopefully everything works out for Adrian Peterson on his trial. But these guys are constantly in the limelight and they are two superstars in their respective teams. Of course it's gonna look bad if they are involved in something bad. As far as any reporters feelings or opinions, if you disagree, you're holding the remote.Everything you just said is bullshyt. Fans don't root for the NFL they root for individual teams.
