it's not about that.. people trying to project the NFL as being the squeaky clean sanctuary when the fans themselves don't even act right in the stands. These people treat NFL players like they're elected officials when they're not. They play fukking sports and entertain fans. Everybody got personal problems at one point or another. NFL players got all types of issues. over 60% of them go broke after their career is done. You got substance abuse issues, health issues, all types of issues.

You want to know why people do this?


NFL does it to distract you from their own dirty laundry and all the bullshyt that they put the fans through and instead villainize their own players.

Media does it to distract you from the shytload of problems in America. Racial issues, a failing two party democracy, an unreal debt that everyone seems to just ignore, countless employment problems, the ridiculous distribution of wealth among the social classes, etc. i could go on forever. they'd rather you just focus on the problems caused by one that only affects him and their family, family problems everyone in lie deals with even if it isnt some sort of abuse, and nationalize as if it's some kind of crisis. This is getting way more attention than any legit problem because they know everyone cares/knows about the NFL and so they can use that to their advantage.

ESPN does it because theyre ESPN and a trash company.
