Clearly the way that it should have been done is that one of the two guys restrains her, while the other guy thoroughly checks her bag and jacket linings to see what else she may have stashed. After that's done, you hand her back her stuff.
She was mad concerned though like she had evidence in text messages where she was probably bragging to her friends about stealing. She had to get her phone back in order to delete that evidence.

This seems to contrived. Even if that was true, that’s the job of the police, not some balding middle age cac manager. She seems like a person who got fired and then told she couldn’t retrieve her belongings.
I’ve never been fired but if I ever was fired and my former employer told me I couldn’t retrieve my things, lord help whoever gets in front of me
