The NFL always wins. It doesnt matter how they treat the players, how shxtty the players union is, or how the corrupt the owners are...

Yall are going to keep watching.

They can run a player out of the league, collude on salaries, horde the profits, control what player get to do off the field and it doesnt matter...

Yall are going to keep watching.

And they know that.
Shedeur wins too though

It's 4 things - cocky, privileged background, Black and a QB.

NFL is fine with a hood nikka playing DB/WR/HB/LB acting cocky if he's really good.

NFL is fine with an arrogant/privileged white kid playing ANY position if he's at least above average.

Quarterback is "face of the franchise" and white people simply aren't comfortable with a Black QB that grew up with money AND has, what they think is too much confidence. It's uniquely football ish. MJ was the most arrogant trash talking azz nikka in the NBA and cacs love him...but football is different.

NFL GMs & owners (white men) got all lathered up to put a "nikker" (hard -er) in his place instead of trying to find the best player.
All of that is true.

It's also true that tempering expectations is historically the way to side in any case like this.

And for the record I couldn't give a shyt about Shedeur Sanders being a black QB.
I had the same reservations last season on this forum about Bo Nix during his preseason hype.

Shedeur wins too though

Wins how? If he does well and delivers to the expectations of a 1st rounder they still got him on a groupon discount because he fell to the 5th. Then he has to stay healthy for at least 3 years to get a decent contract.

If hes trash the Browns and NFL milk him for the rating boost and toss him when they find a more viable QB.

Either way the NFL gets their ratings and people watch. That would matter if the NFLPA wasn't a yes man organization, but they can't even hire player representation that isnt already on the side of the owners.

He played well. I think regardless of the circumstance he'll always be poised and accurate, things that a QB like AR will probably never have. Wish people like Jamie Foxx would cool though on posting things like that. Shedeur been putting in the work without all the casuals and extremists making noise and now they're back after 1 preseason game but that'll never be the case being Prime's son.

You have a need to be right. You’re bringing in PM’s entire career. I narrowed it to his rookie season. The point is there will be lows in any rookie season. One of the best ever had lows in his rookie season so it’s not an indictment on Shedeur if he doesn’t do everything perfectly.
You have a need to be right. When you use PM's rookie season you make the implication of an All-Time great career contradicting a bad rookie start. Stop hiding behind what you failed to type verbatim.

I never said anything about doing everything perfectly. You're arguing with yourself about perfection.

You’re addressing me not vice versa and my point is solidified.
