It's funny reading what Deion said after hearing Brady talk about how all the development with the Patriots helped him early in his career.
Deion speaking from the perspective of a DB, which is a lot different from a QB.
I think I trust Brady opinion over Deion here.
Also another reason why teams likely passed. If that's what you've heard your entire life, from a guy whose entire image is based on individual glory/accomplishment, how can you possibly have the right perspective in the ultimate team sport position. You can be a hell of a receiver or DB thinking like that, but not a QB.
I'd love to know what he's doing in Cleveland now. Backup QBs are often given areas of focus, often by the QB coach. Maybe you look at all the third down coverages of the opponent and go over it during QB meetings. Or you go over protection calls, or whatever else. Shaedur doesn't strike me as the type of person interested in that aspect of the role. Maybe I'm wrong. But I doubt it.
