Yeah because Lamar Jackson is the guy I want to sit behind if I’m trying to be a starting quarterback soon :mjlol:

Bro it’s Cleveland. Shedeur could be the starter this damn year lol.
And when breh gets out there and is asscheeks and right back on the bench for the foreseeable future:francis:

He don't need to be starting this year. Learning behind Lamar for a couple years>>>>>washing out in Cleveland by 2026

I’m not saying he should start this year.. he’s QB3… in Cleveland. That means he could start next year… or by like week 9. Who knows… All I know is that’s better than sitting behind a top 5 qb who has no threat of losing his job barring injury.

There is this thing called trades that teams do with QBs unless people would like to pretend that doesn't happen.
Bro quarterbacks are being shipped around like McCown brothers now. It don’t matter where they are now. Baker Mayfield was shipped around til he ended up in Tampa. Sam Darnold was shipped around… Tre Lance.. shipped around. Shedeur could sit in Cleveland and end up traded to a new team.. We don’t know wtf will happen to that man. I just know him waiting in Cleveland is better then him waiting in Baltimore

So if he gets the opportunity and fails then what excuse will you and others pivot to? That they did him a disservice and set him up to fail by trotting him out there at the end of the season? How often do we see third string guys excel and then get the opportunity to be the starter heading into next season?

If he starts at any point this time, then that doesn't bode well for him, the other QBs or any of the leadership in that organization as that means everybody is getting replaced at the end of the season?

If he gets the opportunity than it's just that - he got an opportunity. Something that absolutely would've never happened on the Ravens unless Lavar got hurt. Shaduer wont need to wait for Flacco or Dillon to get hurt to get his chance.

He's better than Dillon and is only 3rd string because Dillon got drafted higher.

Once you fall to the 5th round your mindset has to change. Unlike an underdeveloped top pick, he won't get the benefit of the doubt if he struggles. They will just cut him and move on.

QBs picked in the later rounds need to take the opportunity to learn so when they do see the field people can see they have worth. A 5th round pick doesn't have enough equity to take a 20 yard sack because they don't know how to drop back properly.

Y'all act like he can't learn from a Super Bowl MVP who's lasted almost 20 years in the league and just won CPOY :unimpressed:

Reading Deion quote idk how much he values the whole qb needing to sit and learn the game mentality. He's a sink or swim type

How in the world can somebody fault him for thinking, ‘Why in the world would I go back up Lamar for 10 more years?’ Who comes in with that mindset?” Deion said. “Where do these guys come from that sit on these platforms and say, ‘You should’ve sat behind and learned the game and developed.’ When have the pros developed anybody? By the time you get to the NFL they expect you to know what you need to do and do it, or somebody else is gonna get in there and do it.”

Sanders said young players learn by playing, not by watching.

“I’ve never sat on the bench and said ‘I’ve learned a lot today,’” Sanders said. “Who learns sitting on the bench?”

if that tweet above is what you're hinting at...i still don't believe it. Even his response is "you wouldn't believe"

And even IF it was true, who the fukk cares? and he's right to not just be sitting behind Lamar for the next 7-10 years.

That's not how football works. Obviously he's not good enough to start now so he'd learn under Lamar for 2-3 years. He'll get spot snaps but he'll get some much needed development. After that first contract he can shop himself to other teams as a starter.

Nah, you never know when you'll have to play due to injury and you'd want to have a good group of players around to help you look good. I'd rather be with a solid organization than a team like Cleveland where the odds are against you playing well if you see the field.

All you need to do is look great in preseason and in a few starts and another team will try to trade for you. He washes out in Cleveland it's right back to holding a clipboard anyway.

It's funny reading what Deion said after hearing Brady talk about how all the development with the Patriots helped him early in his career.

Deion speaking from the perspective of a DB, which is a lot different from a QB.

I think I trust Brady opinion over Deion here.
