And you in your brain actaully believe this... Instead of questioning the validity of the source..You actually think a that Rob Palenka is sitting there personally drawing up contracts while looking at the CBA manual crunching numbers....:russ:

i see why ESPN has a loyal audience.... shyt is too easy

I have no clue as to whether it's true or not, just like 99+% of the other tweets/posts that we post here that are derived from the sports 'journalists'. I'm just putting it out there and lesbihonest, is it really that far a stretch to believe that the Lakers do not have someone monitoring their moves from a cap space perspective?? Seems to me that if they did, this AD/Cap issue might not have ever been an issue.

That said, Windy and Stephen A are definitely not sources that I would bank anything on.

I mean, their last GM quit without telling their owner.

If Pelinka was aware of the cap situation and delayed finalizing the trade until the end of July they would've saved 10 million in a cap money and the possibility of signing a 3rd max player. Now they have to find ways to dump more players on an already depleted roster.
1.The deal isn't finalized... The two teams have a tentative agreement in place that can still be altered or adjusted.... Hence...people like WOJ suddenly back tracking on claiming the Lakers cant create max space

2.It would stand to reason that the Lakers would have preferred to get the AD deal agreed to before June 30th as that is the start of free agency and his addition could be a valuable bargaining chip to a potential 3rd piece your trying to convince to join

3.Dumping those extra salaries without being guaranteed your getting a 3rd max player would most likely not be too wise as guys like Kuzma and Wagner will be needed in the event that the Lakers can't convince a 3rd max guy to join....believing people like Ramona and Windhorst that the Lakers had 0 clue about the mechanics of a tratde hat they have been working on since February is pretty laughable tho... But this is why they have an audience

they don't really need a 3rd star for 2020 if they build a bench.

altho, that's assuming that AD actually stays healthy - which he never does.
so yea, I take that back. they do need a 3rd star. but a healthy AD is the best player bron has ever teamed up with, and the warriors are hurt next year.

Woj didn't back track. In the current framework of the deal, the Lakers only had 24 million in cap space. The Lakers realized this and now are working to change the date of the completion of the deal and if need be, sweeten the deal to persuade Griffin to push it back.

Mind you, I don't think they shouldn't dump players. I'd use that cap room to fill the roster with role players, especially some guards.

The media is bias against the Lakers? Is that what I'm really hearing, brehs?:mjlol::mjlol::mjlol::mjlol:

The media do not like the fact they have to talk about the Lakers. A team that ain’t been to the playoffs in 7 years getting more coverage than the team of the decade and the current champs. The Laker fanbase interest forces the higher ups to make espn/fox lead with Bron/LA. It creates resentment imo
