Just a side note on the hockey discussion: It has been an integral part of the game for 100 years in North America, and is hotly debated every year with fans split on it's importance to the game, with some determined to get rid of it and others saying it needs to stay to keep star players protected. Even ruled by whites, there is a heavy contingent to get rid of it every year.
It's a valid comparative in sense of the talking point, in which I agree with what Sherm' is implying. Yet you would have needed fighting to have been allowed in football when it was ruled by whites and then banned when it was ruled by blacks to strongly make the comparison to hockey.

Stop lying bruh. I've been in this area since 2004. Lived in Hyattsville and Largo for years. A lot of Blacks, but mostly on some c00n/ tom shyt. Just not together, everyone for themselves here.

My thoughts exactly. I'm glad to see everybody celebrating him speaking his mind but as i'm reading what he's saying in my head i'm wondering why it would be news that a fight went down in hockey...shyt as far as I know that's how you score points
But really, if that's been apart of the game from the jump (you can correct me if i'm wrong) then I don't think it compares to football or basketball/baseball. I think for the sake of making a point about racism in general it works but it def has some holes in it as far as context and the history of the respective sports.
It would be different if they put the clamp down on violence in basketball as soon as black folk started playing but that doesn't seem to be the case. Last big "brawl" in the NBA had FANS in the stands getting duffed out, and rightfully so but that doesn't compare to hockey.
Football is #inherently violent...you can put a bounty on someone and execute as long as the ball is in play, but no "fighting" with 30 pounds of protective gear and helmets on...da fukk would be the point?...
and I seem to remember somebody jawing RS in a short clip on youtube without consequence.Fights in baseball also have a history from what I know, and definitely wouldn't compare it to basketball as far as that goes.
