Every time a topic about colorism happens there is a 100 responses that have something similar to the bold: "Preferences are fine as long as you are not downing others." I get puzzeled by this because that is essentially what's going on.

Dark skin black women are constantly being put down so I don't understand the bold.It would make sense to mention the bold if black men appreciated the beauty of their "yellow bone," goddesses & left it at that, but they don't do that.They go on & on about how ugly/unattractive dark skin women are compared to them.

You say if I have a biracial child I will be promoting colorism, correct? So what if I have a child by a light skin or even a "brown," skin black male, & the child comes out light, will I still be promoting colorism?

Not really because light skin people are more allied to the black group and by extension black women than biracials. Not to mention light skin women are black women.

Biracials usually have indentity issues and tend to remain neutral especially with someone like you who is not an ally to the black group raising them.

I definitely just said I appreciate all black women but I do have a preference for darker women as well . I'm not downing anyone lighter though we're all black at the end of the day and I'm not sure why your pushing this "they down darkskin women" as once again who else but the 2 I mentioned said anything negative in this thread?
