Shinsuke Nakamura free agency thread

His best match was against Sami Zane while in NXT and he barely showed up while he was NXT champion. His main roster run was forgettable, all I remember was his debut feud with Ziggler, not being able to unseat Jinder Mahal or AJ as champion and his dumb heel turn. He got to win a Rumble and his theme song will be remembered on the bright side for me his moves will stay in the 2k games. Thank you, Shinsuke. Hopefully, he goes back to NJPW and takes Balor and The Club with him

His feud with AJ was good but not winning the title (especially after his earlier feud against Jinder left him title-less too) really hurt him because it pretty much put him in the "you don't have what it takes" category for WWE audiences. Add that you barely ever see him and they never let him go all out with character work either, and he just ended up drifting in midcard dead space.

For as much praise as SD's been getting, I wouldn't want to be drafted there unless I'm a female, in a tag team or a former World champ. They just don't have enough time for everyone else.

Underwhelming. As someone who was very weary of how lazy and inconsistent he can be (and was during his New Japan days), I was stil surprised at how he wasn't able to have great matches on the main roster. He was given enough time and platform to have at least a couple of legit matches and he never stepped up

His 2nd best imo was with AJ at either MITB or Backlash. Can't remember now but it was not the TGRR one.

I fukks with Swagsuke but his match intensity just isn't there, and he goes through the motions alot. Couldn't really do his raw NJPW strong style shyt in WWE, which I guess didn't help him either. Would rather him stay cause that theme song still kicks

NXT run was fine

Main roster run thus far has been inconsistent
-Made no sense really why he didn't go over Jinder in the rematch
-Crowd was hot for him at SS 17'...and he's the first one eliminated
-Rumble win
-Probably should have had him take the belt from AJ
-U.S title run was clearly a consolation prize for not giving him a run with the heavyweight title and that's fine....but right after winning it he's made an afterthought by a returning Orton who attacks Hardy and if I remember correctly he also screams "where's Shinsuke?!" and nothing is ever explainedSame thing happened when he went again Dillinger. Was it ever explained? Barely was on TV while champion. They could have done a lot more with "Nakamerica"

With that said everyone thought Asuka was dead in the water after losing the streak/bowing down to Charlotte + taking L's to Carmella/Ellsworth and look at her now

I think if the money's right and there's a beach to go surfing he'll resign. He hasn't even been on the main roster for 2 full years
