That's what he did with AJ.
Yeah, with AJ In PPV matches, sure. Not so much with others. Having the time helped. TV matches, can't even really name a good one or one that stood out. Guys like AJ/Dbry can have a good TV match even if it just allotted 10 minutes.

and I like Swagsuke. But he should have had more consistent quality of matches. You said similar earlier in the thread.

I agree with all of this.

"Raw NJPW strong style" just sounds weird to me.

Lackluster. Mediocre. He and creative seem to be on the same page in a negative way. They presented him pretty horribly, but he also rarely shined when given the opportunity. After Sami, I thought his NXT run was underachieving, and creative WAS clearly behind him then.

The heel turn could have been dope, and been the spark needed but the AJ matches did not light up the world (mind you their Wrestle Kingdom match was my favorite match that whole year) and after that, tumbleweeds. So I do hope he either goes back to New Japan, or they decide to randomly put a rocket on his back so we can tell just how much creative is to blame, and how much really was him phoning it in.

I'm a big fan and I hope whatever he ends up doing is more exciting. However, the run has been wack beyond the theme song, the Sami match, kinda some AJ stuff, and the few weeks of him not speaking Engrish.

He'll be back doing his usual "occasional great match peppered in between Keiji Mutoh Specials" routine in NJPW in no time.

I'd harp on him more for ceasing to give a shyt after his NXT run, but 1. I knew how he could be if not properly motivated and 2. WWE eventually beats the motivation out of damn near everyone. At least he'll be back in an environment more amenable to his tendencies in the near future (and maybe I'll even come to enjoy watching him again).

That is, IF he really ends up leaving. :patrice:

Main roster run thus far has been inconsistent
-Made no sense really why he didn't go over Jinder in the rematch
-Crowd was hot for him at SS 17'...and he's the first one eliminated
-Rumble win
-Probably should have had him take the belt from AJ
-U.S title run was clearly a consolation prize for not giving him a run with the heavyweight title and that's fine....but right after winning it he's made an afterthought by a returning Orton who attacks Hardy and if I remember correctly he also screams "where's Shinsuke?!" and nothing is ever explained:dwillhuh:Same thing happened when he went again Dillinger. Was it ever explained? :dwillhuh:Barely was on TV while champion. They could have done a lot more with "Nakamerica":yeshrug:

With that said everyone thought Asuka was dead in the water after losing the streak/bowing down to Charlotte + taking L's to Carmella/Ellsworth and look at her now:ehh:

I think if the money's right and there's a beach to go surfing he'll resign. He hasn't even been on the main roster for 2 full years:yeshrug:

The debut was memorable but his run has seemed underwhelming. Not sure whether it's Nakamura coasting on a WWE paycheck or the company not putting him in the best spot to succeed. The biggest mistake made was not having him beat Jinder Mahal for the title. Would have legitimized him to the casual WWE audience and given him the juice. It not only would have led to a Nakamura/Lesnar match at that years' Survivor Series, but they could have had Styles in the Nakamura role (winning RR and challenging Nakamura) for Wrestlemania.

The ether he is gonna give Okada when he gets back for ruining CHAOS. Boma-ye is back for the '19 and '20:blessed:

Breh, if this whole Okada identity crisis storyline culminates in him running the fade with Shinsuke to establish himself as the definitive leader of Chaos :banderas:

Bonus storyline/irony points if they somehow string it out till Wrestle Kingdom 2020 and end up bumping Tanahashi and the IWGP title out of the main event. :whoo:

Nah I think either outcome it ends CHAOS which is basically a loosely affiliated group of guys who tagged on their off days. And it wouldnt be important enough to bump the IWGP championship from main event billing.

Sadistic Shinsuke in New Japan is something they need.

The match with Cena where he dropped Cena on his head was pretty good for a TV match :manny:

Forgot he won the Rumble.

Rumble winners these days are so forgettable

Because it's felt like Roman has won the last 4 or 5. He's always there near the end & still ends up main eventing Mania :manny:

Don't think Nakamura is leaving this go around as long as they pay him.

I want him to stay in WWE. Two years is not a big enough window. If he leaves it's a failure. If he stays he can still do more and really shine.
