We got some luxury items. But we also have a nice nest egg, cook nice meals at home, don't shop a lot. But we didn't buy that stuff when we were broke and trying to carve out a life.

Do what your future can handle.

I hate these IG hip hop 'news' sites.

Some discrepancies:
  • Bain mentioned nothing of the lower class, only the middle class ($75k - $150k)
  • The middle class is something like 4x the size of the upper class, so it is not totally shocking they would be a greater share of any market
  • Luxury brands includes a WIDE variety of lower-luxury brands like Kate Spade and Coach.
But iTsOnSitE wants us to believe that everyone in the projects is walking around with Gucci Belts :snoop:
:dead: so basically they are full of shyt

Could that simply be a product of their being so many more middle and poor class people compared to rich people?
If a person is poor the point is why would they be buying a luxury brand to begin with. I'd say the same for middle class.

Don't get me wrong it's dumb as fukk that so many people go broke trying to look rich. I've never bought so called luxury items even though I'm at the higher level of what's defined as middle class. I'm just saying that it would only take a really small percentage of the poor/middle class buying these items to compare to the rich buying these items. So if the rich is defined as the top 10% for instance it would only take 10% of the poor/middle class buying these items to equal 100% of the rich buying them. That's of course ignoring quantities.

This study is suspect to me anyway. Was it just a poll they took? What was their definition of luxury items and how would they know the household incomes of people buying them? How do they account for trust fund babies that may have a low household income but has their parents paying all their credit card bills?

I bought my Wife two pairs of Christian Louboutin back in ‘18.
:francis:
Red Bottoms were a thing and I thought she would look sexy in them. Ask me how many times she has worn them.
:mjcry:
Twice and I think she hasn’t worn one of the pair.
:martin:
Never again. She bought me some Gucci loafers and a belt. I rock the belt 8 times a year and the loafers once a month.
:pachaha:
I’m not built for good shyt. Ask me how many times I’ve cleaned my shoes. Before her, I had five pairs of shoes. Four casual and one for working out. Our first date I had some dirty white Aldo’s on. I think the dirt is character. She still talks shyt about them shoes to this day. She say only Haitians wear white shoes (she’s from Miami).
:picard:
I’d rock them right now if I had them. It’s the Belizean blood in me.

I live in same county as the owner of the Commanders. He turned his property into a museum and you can go there for free. I go there all the time. It's one of the richest counties in the country.

There are Rolls Royces, Bentleys, Aston Martins and Maseratis everywhere. I even see a Lambo every so often.

A guy who lives up thr street from me has a Rolls Royce Cullinan. He owns a roofing business. His wife hates me with a passion because she thinks her husband be looking at me. I doubt it. She's just being a weirdo.
