Rarely police brutality?
They know for beating blacks TO DEATH. Wasn’t there a kid last year who died at the hands of a cop? And year before that there was another case.

im black, grew up in a black neighborhood surrounded by other black neighborhoods in Philly.
I've met good cops who did their job well, and ive seen a few a$$holes here and there.
IMO to fix this problem, the Police Departments of the US need to stop recruiting from the bottom of the barrel and start to raise the standards.
They need to stop directly recruiting and hiring GED holders and military grunts with less education and weak critical thinking skills.
Philly PD just lowered their standards from having a 2 year degree to taking a HS diploma now. And Philly public schools are already garbage anyway...so you can just imagine the type of people who are gonna sign up for those benefits and steady salary while being ordained to carry a glock and wear a badge.

cops are a gang that serves the ruling class. they are class terrorists backed by the entire state apparatus. it's not a matter of good and bad apples.
the entire socioeconomic system, one that requires armed enforcers to be deployed against oppressed people and working-class people and one that pushes people into illegal activities to survive, needs to go.
Good idea but i dont see it happening.
Mainly because unlike europeans, the americans are very firm about their 2nd amendment rights and are extremely well armed for a civilian population. Disarming cops would basically make them moving targets for the well armed civilians.
