Should Educated/Wealthy Blacks do More to Help The Community

thats real shyt right there, people not understanding that even in the most rural fukked up areas of Appalachia and shyt like that don't shun the educational system or murder at the rates that we do.

Not true at all. The news just likes to talk about our shortcomings. But they have crime rates just as high if not higher than ours. They are using more welfare than us and they are just as uneducated as us. Poor culture is poor culture no matter what the race is.

my quiet suburban home? once again, i live in south central, los angeles. and that's one of the reasons i have guns, to protect myself from people like that. they break into my home, i'll be waiting for them with a .45.

and these coward nikkas don't have the balls to go into the burbs and steal from them white folks. they'd rather go after other blacks in their own communities.

You couldn't be further from the truth here. The school and mentorship programs will give them value in education. Where do you think they get the idea of school not being valuable from? It's because their schooling ISN'T valuable. These kids are just a smart as anyone else they just don't have proper educations. I run a youth empowerment program and it helps them profusely. I've had kids turn their lives around, I've had kids that called me when things weren't going good at home or when they were thinking about doing the wrong thing. And just an adult being there to listen is all they needed to keep it together. The thing these kids lack most is hope, if we can give them that they are much better off.

it's cool you're making a difference, but i still don't see how better schools would help those who don't value education worth a damn. you paint a good picture, but i know teachers who really try to help their students and it's an uphill battle. you can't teach someone who doesn't want to learn.

Not true at all. Poor people always have and always will exist regardless of social programs. And furthermore poor black people are the least users of social programs in America and it has been proven that social programs help to move people from poverty.

pretty sure asians, jews and indians are the least users of social programs in america. but keep in mind, we're what, 12% of the overall US population? whites should be dominating in that category. and since whites like to paint the picture that it's only blacks on welfare, that just makes me wish the programs were cut more. so they can be out the streets starving along side laqueesha and her brood.

And many educated blacks such as yourself go out of their way to stick their nose up at the hoodlums. Both are part of the problem. This happens in all communities the difference is other communities don't let it turn them against each other.

I wasn't referring to your home in particular, and they don't go into the suburbs because it doesn't make economical sense. If the hood makes it to the point where they are "dying out" as you put it, you best believe they would make their way to the nearest suburb and wreak havoc.

Social programs don't begin and end with food stamps. White women take advantage of affirmative action Asian and Indian people use programs provided for immigrants and they collect federal student loans and grants more than anyone else. The problem with cutting off the programs is that you'll be leaving the people who actualy need them or use them correctly to starve. You got disabled, elderly, veterans, students, who rely on these programs. We shouldn't cancel these programs because some people misuse them.
