Ebola can be spread through air and just touching. Aids and other STDs can not.

The only person who needs to know your medical problems is the person you'll be sleeping with so if you want the info to be available to people who want to fukk each other then OK, except you could just ask that person to get tested. So again there's no reason for it.

Employers, neighbors, landlords, etc don't need to start fukking with people because they're scared they can get aids from shaking someone's hand.

Being a sex offender is a lot different than being a person that has a disease. Like, it's not even the same. I'm not having sex with my neighbors so it doesn't matter if they have hiv/aids. and if a child had been exposed to Ebola I doubt the school would let them attend, so I don't need to know that a child was exposed to it. Having HIV isn't a crime, people shouldn't be punished for having it. smh

This. People fear so much in this world but the answer to fixing those issues isn't to give up more and more privacy. On some Patriot Act shyt. I'm surprised how willing some people are to give up their privacy. Where do we stop? Because it won't end with making people's HIV status public. You don't want to get that ball rolling.

You'd possibly be creating a hit list for someone deranged enough to want to "eradicate" the disease or some shyt like that. I'm sure they'll be some of you in here who are fine this lol.

But it's along the lines of why gun owners don't want them creating a database of registered owners. You'd be creating a list of targets for gun thefts.

That plus there's a reason why we all have expectations of privacy. You let something like that slide and eventually they'll be justifications for lists of all types of different things.
