Should I buy a PS4 or Xbox one when I get paid on Friday?

There's no point in pulling the "you don't own" card out because we live in the information age where info is at our fingertips. There is literally nothing that I cannot not know about simply because I don't own something. Is it impossible to know things without owning?? You gotta own a Intel to know it does certain things better than AMD?? Come on..

This is the bottom line. You have an opinion. The Playstation 4 is better to you and the things you say related to this subject will work towards your confirmation bias. When somebody talks about media you brush it off because that doesn't back your option.

Having owned both since launch the two aren't really that different especially when it comes to gaming. If you compare the PS4 to the Wii U there's a difference there and there's clearly a superior gaming product. Comparing the PS4 to the Xbox One it's mostly the same games on either platform.

You get into the real differences at performance, mostly 900p upscaled to 1080p vs native 1080p and to me and many people that's not a huge difference because modern Xbox One games run decently and look good enough. The second difference is content where the PS4 has more indie titles and the Xbox One doesn't have any JRPGs really. The third difference is extra features and options where the Xbox One clearly has more features and does more than the PS4. The forth difference is cost and value. The Xbox One cost less than the PS4 and can usually be had with a better deal on top of the lower cost. The last major difference is the social aspect of what your friends have and are playing.

For a casual gamer that isn't a hardcore fan of either the Xbox One covers the majority of mainstream games, cost less, has more extra features, and for the most part does the same functions a PS4 can do. Where is the argument for someone like that for the PS4 being the better buy?

If you like Sony exclusives better, JRPGs, or indie titles the PS4 is better.
If you want the best hardware performance regardless of the cost the PS4 is better.
If you wanna play against people who own PS4s the PS4 is better.

Outside of those situations what case is there to be made? Now back when the Xbox One cost $500 the arguments for it were almost non-existent. Now it has more going for it.

It's not ridiculous at all, I still find it insane that people view as the Sony OS on the PS4 even comparable outside of gaming.

Considering that the Xbox one is connected to your hdtv, I think it's pretty damn important for casuals to be able to do things outside of gaming easier. Watch tv easier, talk to Kinect to launch all the other media apps. Smartglass and all that other shyt. I really don't think it's comparable tbh. It's all about the users needs.

Kinect is worthless and should be unplugged and trashed immediately. Use the fukking remote like you're supposed to.

That's not only on PS4. It's on PS Vita, Bravia TV's and more devices soon to come.

I prefer to play Uncharted, The Last of Us, Bloodborne, Persona 5, TLG, Until Dawn, Horizon and get free games with PS+ every month while having a better online experience with MP games because unlike y'all stans I realize "lag" is a real world problem not a "console" problem.





That you had to pay an extra $100 for at launch to use right?? Compared to the voice controls that's optional and works with any mic on PS4?

PS4 has system wide button config change features. Can you share your gameplay and let others on your friendlist play while in a party?? Can you stream to a phone, tablet or handheld device that's officially supported OUTSIDE your home network? Can you plug any headphones into the Xbox One? On PS4 it's built in, on Xbox you gotta BUY another accessory to do that.
Man it's plenty of features on PS4 y'all just like to pretend it's not there or y'all simply don't know about it. Either way that's cool no need to go on further y'all got ya mind made up.

And you can also play/stream Xbox in other rooms/places with a windows 10 device... From my understanding

And yeah, that in-remote voice control is there but not as good as XB1 and despite paying 100 I can still get a way more advanced camera system with that.

Controller is better and better battery life

And your 2 random vids (especially an always laugh game of GOW) doesn't change the shytty multiplayer experiences I've already had on PS+... Plus the random shutdowns/hacks, plus the shytty wi-fi hardware

That's the thing, they're not as random as you guys make it out to be. This is common on any game with shytty netcode, shytty servers or with shytty laggy players but when it happens y'all chalk it up to it being "random" shyt yet when the same happens to you on PSN, it's straight up "PSN being shytty!".

Yup. There's nothing to do on it. The millions of PS4 owners worldwide are just buying a $50 more console because they're sipping the SONY kool-aid. They turn it on and yawn from boredom and the lack of games so they turn around and cop a XB1 to play Evolve with their gated community .

Nah when someone talks about media I'll ask questions which I notice gets ignored. I been asking liquid forever what these media features y'all talk about besides HDMI in is so superior yet I get no response. It's basically $500 still to get the most out of it. Most of the arguments made for the Xbox involve the more costlier Kinect bundle.
