Do you not get 2 HD boxes for free, even with Comcast? DVR, yes. But why DVR when you have Kodi too, remember?
The packages come with 1 HD Box, then you have an option to upgrade that box to a DVR for 7.99 for 12 months. I don't see anything about 2 HD boxes, and I'm pretty sure they charge a rental fee for HD boxes, just like they do with their router/modem shyt.

Right now I have Digital Economy TV which they basically gave me for free that never gets used because it's a SD old box. I would have to pay to upgrade it to get HD content, and I would have to pay a monthly fee on top of that

You right, but i did that part myself as well. I thought it would be a given though.

With todays apple phones its hard to jailbreak. U have to be on 9.3 and have to be a 64 bit device (iphone 5s or better)...so its not as easy as just copping an iphone/ipad and u good to go.

Thats one of the reason i switched to android because jaikbreaking has been slacking since ios 9 dropped. Itll be hard to find a device with earlier software on it

There's definitely a ton of garbage sources on there. You enjoy your free trash quality service that's cool, but don't pretend the experience is anything even remotely close to what you get with Netflix, Hulu, or HBO go.
Kodis exodus addon miles better than netflix imo. I get all my shows & movies in HD for free.

If you say so. Till this day I have yet to see a single Kodi addon that works even half as smoothly as people tend to claim.
I'll stick with my reliable services. $24 a month for my streaming services isn't even making a dent in the bank for me.

Kodi for me atleast is good for two things. 1 UFc, usually u can find a decent stream that doesnt buffer if u know where to look, i aint paying no 60 bucks a ppv. Also exodus works real well to watch movies, some of which I may have missed in the past..but honestly they way to go OP is with A. Vue (much better than sling, imo) or if u know someone who has cable (my cousin gave me her sign in for hbo go) dl the apps u want to use and sign in with there pw. I use comcast, nbc sport, tbs/tnt all that. Only thing i cant watch is baseball on my local stations and nfl on cbs. Works pretty well.

I agree with you and I have Kodi on 3 out of the 4 TV's in my house. It's nice to have it. But, there's a reason why I haven't canceled my Netflix and Hulu subscription. I mainly got Kodi for sports. But, Castaway hasn't been working for quite sometime now.

I'm loving Vue so far. It's the cheapest option for sports right now:

One time charge of $35 for Red Zone
ESPN for College FB and MNF
FS1 & TBS for playoff baseball
TNT and ESPN for primetime NBA
Local Fox sports channel for the Cavs
Local CBS channel for the Browns
NBCSN for soccer
Bein Sports for more soccer
Big Ten network for non-primetime tOSU games

Bought a router and modem last year and I pay $35 for Time Warner 16 MBs down. Its fast enough to live stream everything in good quality...no buffering. All of that AND it comes with a cloud DVR service which is worth the price of admission alone because I don't think any other streaming service offers that.

Vue is nice. Had for a bit in the summer and now about to re-up for the NBA season. Not paying fees and rentals anymore with cable. Also its 29.99 and I'm in the Boston area. I think the higher price for certain markets are the ones that were in the beta testing. The DVR is amazing with it too. It picks up your show no matter what channel it's on. My cable DVR couldn't manage that.

I don't know if breh got cable or not but a $75 package after fees, taxes, and add-ons was costing me about $130 a month and I had Dish with free HD. That was without internet included which was another $60 for me. Those package prices look nice but you probably getting a handful of channels and the important ones like espn won't be included and the majority will be music stations at those price points if net is included. I switched to Sling and got HBO's app and saving like $90/month.

:patrice: I haven't tried the DVR yet, I'll have to give it a go today
