So what did you choose?I've done my research on the Air Force and I like what I see. The benefits are nice, I get to travel and I can learn a trade while I'm there.
Or should I go back to boxing? I boxed for 2 months and left because I lost my confidence after taking a BEATDOWN in every sparring session. I looked good on the heavy bag, but was absolute donkey ass in the ring. I guess it was just inexperience. My coaches said that I have a lot of talent (I have quick, hard hands and pick techniques up quickly).
Or should I join the cert club? You know, to earn my ColiQualifications. I love computers and know a bit about Python, HTML and JavaScript. I'm loner also. My dream is to either work from home or get wealthy.

Working out at home so I can get ready for the Air Force while learning how to code using Udacity. I can box while I'm in the Air force. So what did you choose?
I guess that's true. Your main focus in the Air Force, is gonna be the Air Force........Working out at home so I can get ready for the Air Force while learning how to code using Udacity. I can box while I'm in the Air force.

Yeah. I'll just sign a minimal length contract, get my education, and then leave with my money saved. The minimal years you can sign up for is about 2 years I believe. My dude, are you sure you want to join the Air force? I mean don't get me wrong, its money, a roof over your head, free education and benefits, but there is also a lot of bullshyt. I won't say its not all the way worth it, but you lose a lot of freedom you have as a civilian.

Edit: Might have to choose the 4 year option if the the careers I want are included
I guess it's 4 years, then...No 2 year, the choices are 4 years and 6 years. People end up signing for 6 years just to get ranked up to E-3 early, which I thought seriously wasn't worth it. Then again I had my rank going in already from JROTC.
Remember to get your CCAF and take as many classes as you can for free.I guess it's 4 years, then...
What did you mean when you said that you lose a lot of your freedom? How was your experience in the Air Force? What are the best careers that their school offers in your opinion?
I wanted to do Cyber Surety, but now idk if I do. Another thing, what do you actually do on base? Do you just train or are given a job?
What is your asvab score? You might want to study that, because you might not score high enough to get the job that you want. Also the job might not be available when you ask for it, so have a 2nd, 3rd, and fourth choice. Loadmasters is not a bad job ijs.I guess it's 4 years, then...

Just remember that.
I fukked up and got nervous when speaking to one. He asked if I had ADD or ADHD, which I do. I said yes and he asked if I had been taking medication. I said yeah even though I had only been prescribed some, but wasn't taking it/haven't taken it in a WHILE. The recruiter said that I had to be off of it in 15 months. I have to speak with him again so I can straighten this outThat sort of explains it in a way. You gonna have to look at things in a different view. My experience so far being 3 years and some change in has been ok for the most part, the bullshyt I've experienced is equaled with the fact that I get paid and have different benefits. I've definitely changed in 3 years time, used to be gung ho about it and such. As far as careers go, cyber surety is fine. You have to be careful with the cyber side though, I've talked with different dudes and with there being so many shreds (different sections of the job basically) you may not end up doing what you think you will do. Actually, that explains about all jobs is that you may think you will do one thing, but you will do another.
What you do on base is basically just live and do your job. To go more in depth though, you have your job in the air force, then you have the air force shyt you do outside your job. I can't really explain a lot here, but have you talked with a recruiter? You will want to really really do some research before you just up and join. Its easier to explain some things if you have more knowledge of the military.
