I think so.

I mean these people fukk up other people's lives. I knew someone who went through this and hearing his story was :mjcry:

It may be :whoa: but they're messing with people's reality here. I remember someone brought this up and I was against it, but now that I look at it I'm :ohhh:

No, they should not. :camby: Just put stronger things in place to make it easier for the people stolen from to recover from this.

Imagine putting this in place when murderers, rapists, child molesters, etc. get away with their lives? :why: Disgusting.

its hard to be innocent in identity theft crimes, b. You just don't accused of that.

OP... I might have to say yeah just off the fact cats never recover from it :ld:

I'd bet every form of crime has had at least one person falsely accused and in cases where you're talking about killing someone who may be innocent, not sure I'd advocate that as a form of punishment. Plus, just like any other hustle (see: drugs), most people getting caught are just pawns in the game.

I purchased three $500 Visa gift cards this past year and two of them were compromised. One of the replacement cards had my name on it and that one was also compromised. The hoops I've gone through just to get my $1500 back in the past year has been extraordinarily maddening, but the a$$holes who stole my money probably just purchased the numbers from someone else and are just a$$holes. I wouldn't want them to die. Granted, that's not an extreme case of identity theft that ruins someone for years, but nevertheless...

And the entire topic is nothing more than intellectual masturbation because I know from working cases like these and being a victim of cases like these... law enforcement doesn't care. It happens way too much. And even if you allow for death penalty cases here... much of the work is happening abroad.

"here's the rates and the payback, do you agree to these terms and rates?"

-death sentence

have some personal responsibility.

I agree. . . but we gotta figure out a way to get people to read through or summarize the most important points in contracts. Something. There's always a catch and I consider myself smart, yet I've even fallen prey to being a lazy a$$hole with a contract. Can't trust what anyone tells you, even though most of us do.

My short list of crimes that should be punishable by death:

Child rape
Identity theft
Corporate embezzlement
Predatory lending

That would mean alot of Jews in the prison system. Doubt the establishment would allow that.
