No, that's a bad idea...

NBA defenses have to adapt. I don't know what's going to happen but the league wide defensive rating is WAY up this year. The defensive rating is up to 80's NBA levels. All these big men shooting threes, all the P&R play, and small ball has spread the floor so much. I don't think NBA defenses expected guys like Brook Lopez and Darrell Arthur to be competent three point shooters.

I'd rather raise the rim. Lay ups would be more blocksble. Dunks would be a bit harder and your shot would need some adjusting.

Not really, Steph Curry didn't look all that courageous when he missed those long range half court shots
Steph is used to the current 3 point line. The league moves the line back and I'll give it 5 years before players start pulling crazy shots with ease
