That's what the House is for (unfortunately, the House has been gerrymandered by Republicans). The Senate serves it's purpose of giving small states and rural areas a larger voice in the government.

When it was weak, the left was keenly interested in liberty and the rights of the minority. But now with power just exceeding its grasp, on the verge of flipping the Senate, the left wants to change the rules
at talking about the rights of the "minority" while defending a system that was blatantly designed to give white voters a disproportionate amount of voting power
