DeRozan gotta develop a game outside of jumpers and getting to the line.... He's not worth that contract if he can only 2 do of those things.

Conley's contract is obviously outrageous but he damn sure tried to play like he was a $150m player in the 1st round, and he has defense to boot.
derozan is def worth that contract. there are people getting paid similarly to do far less

Should they blow it up? No. This is the golden era of Raptors basketball.

They're not a championship contender, but realistically, who is asides from the Cavs and Warriors? You can't have 29 teams tanking.
exactly. that being said i'm not sure i resign Lowry and Ibaka because Norman Powell deserves a chance to start. Perhaps you start Norman, Lowry and Derozan all at once. But that front court gonna be very weak defensively if you let Ibaka walk

ppl forget these teams are businesses...these GMs have bosses to answer to. Blow it up and have an empty arena...cut your teams revenue by like 25+% because of the poor attendance and missing the playoffs...then get fired by the owner brehs. these nikkas aint blowing shyt up. theyre resigning Lowry for sure

Itd be easier for the Raptors to go back to bottom feeders than most teams because theyre owned by a billion dollar corporate entity that owns several other teams and the fact the Raptors are not the top draw in Toronto.
All that means is more pressure from shareholders to sustain/growth revenue from the franchise.

i dont want to but they will
18-5 with a cupcake schedule and added ibaka. Raptors were suppose to win those games but when you look at the #'s the offense and 3pt shooting fell off a cliff without Lowry.

Norm is t a point guard tho and has never been used as one of the bench or when he starts(even when Lowry was out). He doesn't have the ball control or court vision.

Its clearly not working. Don't bring Lowry back.
Who is his replacement? You gonna replace a top 5-10 pg with Corey/delon? At that point you may as well tank.

They better off surrounding demar/Lowry with shooters..good role players.

He's on the wrong side of 30. He underperforms in the playoffs and he's been banged up. If they can get him on a shorter deal with a discount, fine. There's no reason to max him.

The reality is, the raptors aren't beating any elite team with this core.

Y'all need to try to make a move for Paul George.

I don't see how Indy could really do much better unless the Celtics got the number 1 pick and they were willing to trade their picks and assets.

Maybe not realistic but resign Lowry and Ibaka.....make a move for PG & take on Al Jeff's bad contract. It would suck to lose Norm.......but shyt, maybe you throw Wright & a few other pieces instead and see what happens in that year. If PG doesn't resign you trade Lowry and Ibaka and blow the shyt up then.

Something of this nature with PG going into the final year of his contract might be the best Indy can do given the league's nature to not want to gut their teams for star players when LeBron runs the east and the Warriors run the west and you don't want to lose him for nothing.

Derozan is still an all star caliber player that other teams can sell their franchise on. He's not PG but shyt, if they're going to lose him for nothing why not take 4 years of having Derozan in your control along with building around Miles Turner.
