i think it fits our general phenotype quite nicely.

Many people would disagree with that. Some people are even claiming slightly tanned Asians as black now.

As if they're hoping it will magically make them our allies.

I'm going to rile you nikkas up a little bit, why is it that just because of the ethnicity we get called black?
Is very odd because there is multiple ethnic groups in the diaspora though we generally share the main ethnic appearance as well as genetics, but come in many various shades.
So, what should the overall ethnicity be called in favour over just being called "black"?
And the reason why I say this is because there is no such thing as actually pitch black skin it's all different shades that hue the colour brown pigment. (with yellow and red gradients included)
So should the race of the overall people be called a different name that actually reflects us or should we stick to the label as black because that's what we're used to?
For what label will we use to identify for our ethnic unification that we will be proud of ourselves in, because it seems like in the American country that the word black detonates negative stereotypes that are consistently reinforced constantly over.
Because not everyone in the diaspora even agrees on that label as some Somalis would say they are of the African race as Somali but do not see themselves as being called "Black", then you have other ethnic groups like Yoruba who acknowledge their dark-skinned but they identified only as the Yoruba.
Then you have people that are black that are not from (recent) Africa like a Fijian person who share the same ethnic features but may still identify themselves exactly as that as "black" but they don't claim africa as they are islanders.

So do we all celebrate each other as separate identities or do we find a way to unify each other through a common identity.
How do of us that are born with so-called black skin and wooly hair should identify ourselves in this plight of our ethnic identity?
This is serious because when this question actually gets answers it can actually change the course of events that actually occur about social conditions and racism within our own communities rather than reliance of other ethnic groups that are not related to us to finally fix things as they should be.

Because you know you may wake up and know that your ethnicity is your skin colour, but the way you feel is your own individual identity that is your spirit.
So what would best represent us in terms of wording that get us to become the return of greatness at its peak?
