Should you focus on multiple hustles or one at a time?

Hypothetical: say someone wants to be an actor, wrestler, and rapper. Three forms of entertainment.

What should he focus on first? Should he try to apply himself in all three?

This was inspired from a Logic interview where he said that you should master your craft before you move onto another one.

I agree with mastering one major craft and having a back up.

Because having multiple skills or interest and trying to cater to them, particularly in entertainment while not impossible, requires a lot of devotion, especially when you take in the many man hours just to progress in one field alone, not to mention this: you're in direct competition with others for that same spot you want. Look at people who go into business for themselves and how they literally miss out on holidays and get togethers with family.

Not to mention, what if you get comfortable in your side hustle because the money is good? Do you just up and give up, or do you find a way to make time for your main objective? But what if that takes away from the amount of income and the reasoning for why you're caking up?I got close boys who are teachers, activist by day and rappers/producers/artists by night :mindblown: Couldn't imagine trying to squeeze all of that amount of legwork in just 24 hours, especially when you add in the fact they tour.

I think the beauty of acting and wrestling is that you don't need to start them when you're young. The best case for this hypothetical (my goals really) is to work on rap first. Through building a fanbase and networking there, you can open doors in acting and maybe even wrestling. Just look at Ice Cube/The Rock/Stephen Amell.

Personally i think its better if you merge them together. Or use one hustle to enter another one. Eg you want to be a businessman and a politician. Use politics to enter business or vice versa. dont start both at the same time.

A lot of actors/musicians had previous careers or a 9-5. They just did the other stuff as on the side.

When you said hustle, I thought you meant like... a hustle.

How the hell can you pursue 3 careers at once? :dahell: That sounds like a nikka with no direction in life.

A jack of all trades is a Master of none.

None, 99% of actors, wrestlers and rappers are broke

He should focus on generating revenue. "Follow your dreams" :comeon:

Regarding focusing on one vs many ACTUAL hustles.... do whatever strikes the best balance. I'm about to quit my side gig because it's eating up too much of my time. The money is not worth it. However it was last year.
