Sad and happy at the same time. I think bittersweet is the word. My family is from Nassau county so we all grew up yankee fans. As time went by I grew into a Ravens fan mostly due to Ray Lewis. I'm sad thinking about this. Same as until last year the Ravens minus Ray didn't exist, I'm 25 so I can't imagine the Yankees minus derek, Andy, mo, and Jorge. An era truly is over now. A legend and a class act like I've never seen. Thanks for the last 2 decades. Between his on and off the field conduct and his connection with our crowd, he was one of a kind. So glad I was able to fly up and go to a game with the family this year for the subway series. That's our shortstop. Can't wait to see the bust get put into Cooperstown. I haven't been there since 2002, but no doubt seeing him and Rivera enshrined will be worth the trip.
