I was supposed to go here this night. Flakes out at the last minute because my funds weren’t right and if you knew Shyne and the conflict that was surrounding him at the time, I was like nah I’m straight. My boy ended up going, jewels yapped off his neck, face sliced open and to add insult to injury, bouncers handed him some napkins and placed him on the curb.

Yeah. The tunnel was a street playground. My guy at the time was trying to get on an build a buzz. Just like today, if you weren’t certified or had a certified group of goons behind you it would be hard to get any kind of buzz.
I knew my lane. My boy didn’t so he paid the price. We were all young though so it’s understandable that you take those risks when you are trying to pursue a passion. Son chain was tucked too I believe. Went with another partner who was solid but he couldn’t do anything because it was so crowded/quick when it happened.

I’m from Brooklyn so anywhere Brooklyn dudes were at in the city, it’s finna be some bullshyt going on in there guaranteed.
The tunnel was bad but nothing was worse than some of the Caribbean joints back in Brooklyn in the day. Every week someone was letting it blow in the club until someone died and a name change would occur and then back in business.
That was when I was a teenager though. By the time I was 18, you couldn’t pay me to go into a club in Brooklyn. I ain’t finna put on fly shyt and be around a bunch of wolves looking like a meal.

I swear to everything I listened to the first minute and all I could think about was "Somebody is going to get cut real bad", because I can remember that era. And the echoes made it sound extra demonic.
