If you're a Foundational Black American, read this post and watch the interview.
It's A PRIME example why Tariq exposing these immigrant tethers is vital.
Shyne, a lifelong immigrant trouble maker in the land that FBA built, is on Drink Champs making excuses for "Uncle Joe" and Scamala and bragging about what they've done for immigrant tether issues. When Nore tries to correct Shyne and expose their negligence toward black America, shyne double downs on his "uncle Joe" usage and makes the same cac/immigrant excuse about "its coming, give it time, he's only been in X amount of time" bullshyt. Shyne is an enemy. He may not have snitched on puff but dude is an A1 sucka and worthless to black America.
He seemingly wanted to highlight the faux father of hiphop's immigrant background at the start of the show, I noticed that, but gave it a pass. Then when they got to scamala Joe talk, he really showed whom he was.

Notice shyne's message: Joe's doing xyz right now (for immigrant tethers)
You FBA's need to just wait.
That's the message and you c00ns (or cacs) in here defending him. fukk this tethered scum.

Where I shouldn't be
As someone who was a MASSIVE Shyne fan (had all his mixtape and features of Kazaa & Limewire) before he came out I knew the industry-hype but he definitely failed if his templates were 'Nas, Jay and Bob Marley' as he repeated constantly.

He WASN'T an artist to change the world via his wordplay or lyrics and he brought NONE of that social commentary to his first album or any of his mixtape releases.
The industry did just liked him because he sounded like BIG and New York needed a new star.

He had social commentary in songs like shyt Hits the Fan referencing goverment official Oliver North involvement in the Iran Contra Scandel that later was referenced in the documentary Freeway Crack in the System which included the US government involvement with providing cocaine to US ghettos.

Nas in the the late mid 90s referenced drug Kingpins like Escobar and Shyne referenced Alpo (nobody was talking about Alpo at the time on songs at that time) called himself Shyne Poe.

Also comments in spoken word about America creating a monster on the intro on the first album

Bro, those were 2 verses and one intro?! :russ:

It's revisionist history to say he reached anywhere near the level of consciousness or commentary of the people he repeatedly quoted.

'Gangsta talk' was his one & only thing on EVERY track and if we're keeping it a buck, he wasnt even as lyrical as others in the year he came out.
HNIC, Stakonia and Sigel's The Truth all came out that year, Shyne weren't never seeing those releases.

I do think he was very eager to get on and chose (or others chose for him) the road that would guarantee the most success at the time. Perhaps he could’ve shown development if unfortunate shyt didn’t happen

2. Grown people understand that they have two choices in a US election, others’ sit on social media and don’t so shyt.

Being respectful to the US president and the person the black caucus endorse is not c00ning. People be calling everything except actual c00ning, c00ning nowadays :snoop:

Plus he a politician now...:yeshrug:

Nah. Take it in when you can like everyone else. I don't sit and watch. I break it up and listen.

Why do y'all constantly advocate for this show to change. It is what it is.
