AJ numbers come down in the Dallas offense...seeing as how we have a hall of fame TE who's gonna catch no less than 70 balls this year...we drafted another pass catching tight end in escobar so we got to justify that pick by throwing the ball to him a ton this year...

Grisham is no slouch...but he is a LONG way from Witten catching the ball...

So yeah...AJ targets are going to come down...

AJ is also WAY less physical going for the ball than Dez...Dez redzone catch to touchdown numbers are so unbelievable because he pretty much just sodomizes whatever cornerback is on him...you borderline can't even press cover Dez...he is going to toss your cornerback on the ground without breaking stride and then you are done...

AJ game is more agility and speed based...

I've never seen AJ catch a slant and then just straight up flatten a safety and run for 30 more yards...I've never seen Dez NOT catch a slant and then NOT flatten a safety for 30 more yards...

Dez was and could legitimately still be a frightening kick and punt returner...AJ is to slight to try that with him for long
Breh. AJ has been putting these numbers up in a west coast offense, because short-medium passes are te only thing Andy stands a chance of completing. Put him in a more vertical offense with a better passer, and his numbers go up. Simple as that. Nobody is arguing that he's more physical than Dez. He's not built like that. He shakes nikkas off of him still though despite his size because his agility and body control is superhuman. I feel like some of y'all don't watch the kid play and only see the highlights. Well, I do see alot of Dez because they have you fukks on the tv damn near every weekend. He's a lot more physical than someone his size should be, but no he's not Dez in those regards. Nobody else in the league is.

But there's a reason why most every talking head has him ranked #2 in the league and the only one they contemplate putting ahead of him is Josh Gordon. Kids a freak. Put him in a better offensive system to match his vertical receiving ability and he's gunning for the top spot
