Judging by the reviews so far, I see why I saw this one out concerning copping at least for now. Sadly, the series took a nose dive with Civ 6 and fully haven't recovered

Breh compared to 5, the shyt was meh as all hell.
It felt soulless and missed the charm of the previous Civ games.
I just couldn't get with it
NOT THAT I AMNGOING TO DO THIS AND FALL FOR THE TRAP FORNTHE UPTEENTH TIME but usually they release a couple patches and/or DLC to fully flesh it out and "make the game whole" . Probably be on discount during a steam winter sell and everything.

Absolutely.
I wish they had that one on mobile. They took revolution 2 and made it more like Civ 6.
Civ Revolution was the jump off before I actually got a legit pc to play the main games.
It was a unique take on the series, and I loved the goofiness of it, rather than the serious approach.

I haven't played Civ since #2 because of the cism. Can you create your own society and are you forced to follow a certain development path based on what culture you pick?
I've been playing Crusader Kings....I created an Igbo-viking, militant nation that's currently pillaging its way through Northern Europe. They worship a God King Emperor back in the Motherland.

Not as deep as Crusader Kings but on 5 and 6 you can create your own religious crusade and mess with the direction of your stance as a leader. Either dictatorship or etc.
It's a mess though, because the AI is either brain-dead or will send you to the shadow realm.

Black History Month so I'm rolling with Harriet.
I think i miss 6 already. Was much more polished. Only issue was how long the turns took.
In fact the only positive thing i can say about civ7 is that the turns are exponentially faster. No more waiting 3 min for a turn to pass towards your end game.
Apart from that, i miss how you could tweak a game of both c5 and c6 to change the map, difficulty, the available city states, etc. i also dont like that they got rid of workers.

Check out the mods that turn the world into Tamriel from Elder scrolls with magic and other shyt, or the Game of Thrones mod. They have a Lord of The Rings one as well.

That's pretty lame, I loved to play with big ass maps were all kinds of fukkery happened all over the place instead of the real world map that has obvious constrains
