Like I said before, Hollywood is determined to remake every single movie from the 80's.

What people tend to forget, is that Leslie was a serious dramatic actor until Airplane! showed his comedic chops. Even then what Leslie did was comedy... but not in the fashion people understood at the time. Leslie played his character straight while the world around him was absurd.

That's pretty much why the Naked Gun did so well, it was a dry humor in which Leslie was a serious police officer in a absurd world.

Sounds like Liam got it down, because the man has done tons of Drama films even before he started his Taken route.

I remember liam showing a little of his comedic chops in an episode of "atlanta" where he was playing himself.

I will give this film, 3.5 out of 5 Stars. 90 mins is a good run time for this.

For me, I have grown up watching 3 Stooges, Mel Brooks, Zuckers and a ton of Comedy Films; so its hard for me to laugh as my mind thinks about the gags.

There was some "Oh you went there moments..." but for me, it wasn't a gut-busting experience for me of laughter.

For me with this, Liam gets the dry humor, but Leslie had a expressive way when he delivered the joke to really make it stand out.

Exactly. Leslie always had those looks and Liam doesn't have any of that. My bro wants to see this tomorrow but I have a feeling its a waste of money.

I would suggest watching it when it comes on streaming. There is plenty of laughable moments, just not ones that really would really get people rolling. Liam does a great job, but it's one those movies where it's just so hard to get out of the shadow of Leslie and also George Kennedy.
