You can't very well say you resent ur mother but u can shift that hatred to every woman you meet.
Some don't place a high premium on family and marriage.
Tend to think the baby mama model is okay. Doesn't connect his own deficits with the absence of his father and thus tends to perpetuate similar circumstances with women in his life. Will probably be a baby daddy himself.
Resentful of any type of authority.
May be a mama's boy.
Tends to shun accountability and runs from problems.
Could be stuck in perpetual adolescence.
This would be an interesting question to ask about blk women too?

Same here. My mom made sure I had strong male role models around me, so that I saw how to handle being a leader and taking care of a family. But I had to learn faster and see things quicker than other kids because survival was imminent.
What's funny is some of the most fugasi n#ggas I've met IRL and on The Coli are from two parent households. Simply having a father in the house does not mean you had a strong male upbringing nor does it mean that you will somehow be more prepared for the world. I've seen both single-parent and two-parent kids shrink when manhood time comes.
I'll be the first to say that two-parent households should be the norm over single parent households. And I'll never co-sign single parenting as a viable option. However, coming from a two-parent household does not make you thorough off rip.

I think it's the quality of the parent more than anything. I'm single mom raised, went to college, full time job, working on my Masters (no Coli certs though
) etc.
You can have a single mom teach you the value of hard work, how to work through adversity, and how to rely on yourself
Or
You can have both parents in the household and still have a broken home.
Telltale signs that he was raised by a BAD single mom are if he has a bad temper, feels entitled (spoiled..."mama's boy"), or has no ambition
