Basically they wanted her to do some extra promotion for the movie and she didn't want to do so without being extra bread for it. I get why she complained about it, but it was one of those situations where it would have benefitted her career to take one for the team and do it for free. Directors and Execs speak amongst each other and they remember those type of situations when they discuss projects that they are working on.
