It's more like putting effort into sticking your neck out for other races when they won't do the same for you. The Trayvon Martin tragedy was just a recent example. As black people, no one sticks up for us when we're treated unfairly and most of the time will try to shift the blame on us. Native Americans won't do anything for us so I'm not going to waste time worrying about their problems.
And what did they do about it? Nothing.
:wtf: what were they supposed to do? carry out the extra judicial assassination of zimmerman?
How are we "sticking our neck out" for other races by saying that using a racial epithet is wrong :why: :snoop:
Y'all really just love that team that much that you'll say anything to justify them having a racist name?

It looks desperate. And "maintaining your humanity" won't get you anything but more disrespect. It's not something to be proud about. It's a sign of weakness. Being the "bigger man" just makes you an easy target to get more disrespect.

Bottom line, if it has nothing to do with black people, it's not worth being concerned about. Everyone SHOULD stick up for others but they don't when it comes to black people. Let's talk about how the world IS instead of how it SHOULD be.

Plenty? I'd like to see that. How about the ones sending him money to total close to $1 million?

Desperate for what? I'm starting to think you don't know the meaning of that word.

You speak in too many generalizations to have a reasonable conversation my brehther.

And you seem to have a lot of insecurities you're dealing with. I wish you luck in addressing those. The world isn't perfect nor am I trying to portray it as so. It's not full of hatred and evil, either.

Insecurities? Don't know where you got that from.

And a lot of the world is filled with hatred and evil. Especially the United States. I have every right to be cynical about that.

Maybe you aren't insecure. :manny: I just don't know what's wrong with doing the right thing. You have to excuse me, I'm on a positive trip and I'm trying to stay in a positive space. My way of balancing out the reality you allude to regarding life in America. For the record, I agree 100% with your second paragraph. You definitely have that right. Just remember there's some good here and there. And it's alright if brothers want to help others even if it's not always reciprocated. Things have a way of evening up, karma rewards righteousness, and God will bless us (if you believe in that kind of stuff, and even if you don't God will still bless you :wow:).

OK. I see where you're coming from. I'll agree to disagree.

I'll finish with this. Everything I said notwithstanding, black people must be vigilant not to be submissive, docile, or downtrodden. We can't just pray to God and hope things get better. We must be active. We must do something to alter our plight and improve our condition. We must be conscious and knowledgeable about our history and aware of the condition of all oppressed people for their experience is sometimes intertwined with our own. Take Native Americans, for example, they are the first group in America to feel the brunt of America's tyranny, brutality, and terroism. We can't be ignorant of this part of history nor can we be apathetic to their situation for blacks would also be subjugated to this racist, violent harlot. Therefore, our experience is connected. So when we speak out against the vestiges of this overt racist program, we are also standing up for ourselves and saying we ain't standing for any of this bullshyt. We all deserve peace, equality, and freedom. When one of us does not have access to these rights, all of our rights are in jeopardy. For if one man can be tyrranized, oppressed, exploited, or enslaved, we all can be. That's something worth fighting against. Wherever it creeps up. And whoever it might be affecting.

I love when black people respond by saying "you'd be offended if the team was insert offensive name for blacks." Why couldnt c@cs come up with a tame offensive term for us, like "blackskins." :noah:

Indians get all kinds of tax breaks, I say tough sh1t. I like the name and the uniforms. Fukk Corn doe.
Native Americans are the poorest minority in the country :rudy: To be honest, they have it worse than black people overall. Regardless that's irrelevant. What's wrong is wrong.

:comeon:Now that they have their franchise face, Snyder could easily change that derogatory name to Kernels:skip:
