I thought it would happen in 2009 but Bron didn't have enough help

Thought it would happen in 2011 as the Lakers really were playing great ball after the All-Star break, Bynum was healthy and balling, Odom was 6th man of the year, and the Lakers looked like they would go to the NBA Finals for a 4th straight year themselves. But Kobe's knee wasn't right all year and Gasol went from being an MVP candidate early in the year to 42% shooting big man in the playoffs.

At this point, we'll never see it and I don't think anyone would want to see it. Kobe Bryant will not be the same player he was even last year and that franchise is headed for a long rebuilding process.

2007 - Cavs in 5
2008 - Lakers in 6
2009 - Lakers in 5
2010 - Lakers in 6
2011 - Lakers in 7
2012 - Heat in 5
2013 - Heat in 5

The Hawks just won 60 games and clearly aren't as talented as the Cavs, the Magic had more talent that year, your record is irrelevant in the playoffs when the other team is more talented and you can't matchup:yeshrug:

ok I didn't put too much research into this just quickly went back and scanned the rosters for each team.
Here is my take:
2007 Cavs in 7
2008 Lakers in 5
2009 Lakers in 7
2010 Lakers in 7
2011 Heat in 7
2012 Heat in 5
2013 Heat in 5
2014 Heat in 5
2015 Cavs in 4

Lakers would have stomped them in 09-10. Besides Kobe and lebron who on that cavs team was stopping prime gasol, prime Bynum or metta world peace? Lakers were a better team then the cavs and lebron was not physiologically prepared to deal with a Kobe for 7 games if it even got that far. The finals are a different animal than the regular season so I don't care for regular season wins that lebron won.

Weren't the Cavs up by damn near 20 twice in that series and lost both games?

The Kings had more talent top to bottom in 02 but the Lakers had Shaq and Kobe. The Cavs had Bron. There is no excuse why they lost. They were the #1 seed. If you are the so called best player in the league with a number #1 seed, you are supposed to make it to the Finals. I guess he wasn't the best player that year. :sas2:
