A lot of northerners are rude but country nikkas do be talking a lot. nikkas will get offended if you're not skinning and grinning ear to ear ALL THE TIME. And the main reason they do that shyt is just cuz they need to know what you're thinking. Mfers insecure as hell.

I thought it was like that everywhere. nikkas always skinning and grinning talking about nothing. They don't genuinely think you're weird they're just butt hurt you're not entertaining them or acknowledging them as much as they think you should. A lot of times people take that as signs you're saying you're better than them or don't like em.

Seems like it's dying, I will say, it's definitely present with older people, but at school, and at work, people act like they will be killed for looking in the direction of another person. I always strive to preserve the idea though.

Nah, people need to be interacting with each other. Just in the work environment, we are all working in the same place, and most treat each other like strangers. It's just sad, and it will probably become worse over time. I always go out of my way to engage in conversation with anyone, and hopefully it brightens their day. I can tell when people are feeling bogged down by it and then I just bring it to a close but you would be surprised at how many people are just waiting for someone, anyone, to talk to them.

Who really wants to navigate through this world while being treated like they are invisible?

Nah, people need to be interacting with each other. Just in the work environment, we are all working in the same place, and most treat each other like strangers. It's just sad, and it will probably become worse over time. I always go out of my way to engage in conversation with anyone, and hopefully it brightens their day. IMO there’s a difference between having casual conversation and talking way too much


Sometimes there really just don’t be shyt to say As adults we should be able to acknowledge that and be able to sit/stand in silence sometimes


I love talking to people myself and making new connections/acquaintances but there really don’t be shyt to say sometimes and I’m not good at acting like there is.

Comes from the fact that a lot of us grew up in large families that grew up generations in the same communities where we virtually know each other.. everyone is ‘my cousin’ or ‘we kin to so and so’.. atleast that’s how it is In the Carolina’s/Georgia/Alabama
in some form or another we went to schools no greater than 800-900 students in the same boring ass towns for 12 years at a time.. then we move off during our prime years 18-35 to the big world (cities/metros) and then eventually tread back to our humble beginnings later on in life after starting a family/branching out. Most of us are family/community based through and through.. natural social, quick-witted and hilarious. Loyal to the end!

And some people get tired of hearing the same small talk over, and over, and over, and, over, and over and over. If it's a group of nikkas all they talking about is sports, women, tv and what they're going to do on the weekends. If it's females it's gossip, who they like, who they don't like, tv and what they're going to do on the weekend.
