Don't over exaggerate my point to destabilize and discredit my argument. Of course I know it's not some battlefield, but when I beef with someone it's fists or knives, never guns. While it isn't bad enough to warrant martial law or anything like that, the risk is still there. In every country I've lived in, no places of education have been assaulted by armed individuals ON A REGULAR BASIS. The fact of the matter is that you are directly providing both sane and insane people with the most efficient means to kill. I understand the desire to defend oneself and one's family, but if no one had guns, less lives would be lost. No one can deny that.
People will say, "but if we enact stricter laws, the law-abiding will suffer while the criminals are free to remained armed!!"
Well, reap the seeds you have sown. If the staggeringly high amount of projectile weapons in current circulation wasn't allowed in the first place, coupled with distrust of authority, government and fellow man, this stupidass problem would be so pressing in the first place.
But, people will always find something to argue in their favour. Let more and more people die. That's not my problem. In fact, With an increasing population, so too increases the number of guns. it's not my country that has a gun problem.
Yeah, you're right. Europe is more advanced in its evolutionary cycle. It is generally more fair, more just, less racist, and stand more united as separate nations.
Black people have always been mistreated throughout American history, but I feel that it is the mistrust of both the black community and law enforcement towards each other that fuels the vicious, neverending cycle.
The notion of using projectile weapons for defense as an absolute end to disputes (in some cases obviously, not all, lest my words be twisted again) needs to change. Guns are glorified in music, films, games and other types of media, and while even I fall for that (call of duty used to be my shyt), guns in general need to be controlled. Note: controlled, not eradicated.
