Since this is probably Kobe's last season playing, I guess it's time to admit

Why do you stans always act like he spent most of his career with Smush and Kwame? Without them in those two seasons, the scoring outbursts of 81 etc never happen.

BECAUSE THOSE ARE PRIME YEARS WHICH HE WOULDA WON A RING IN HAD HE BEEN PLAYING WITH A FORMIDABLE SQUAD

At the end of the day, they play different positions. I look at it as if I'm a GM building a dynasty in a draft.

There isn't another SG I'd take over Kobe when building a team. Jordan is a close 2nd. After that, the drop off is big. I miss out on drafting either and I'm at a disadvantage for the position.

However, there are numerous SF's I'd take if I miss drafting LeBron and not worry about too much of a drop-off.

if my draft went something like: Hakeem, Steph Curry, KD, Dirk, Reggie Miller my glaring weakness is at SG vs getting Kobe/Jordan (I'm assuming Wade would've been picked up since I addressed SG last). However, not getting LeBron doesn't hurt as bad because of KD who was drafted in the 3rd round vs missing on a dominant center with my first pick to take LeBron. If KD gone, I pick up Kawhi. This is of course considering there is a run at centers/pf's and all players like Kobe, LeBron, Jordan, etc. at the start.

5 Straight NBA Finals speaks to the sheer dominance of Lebron. Whether he wins any more or not it speaks volumes.

I'm a Kobe fan but I've had to admit while Kobe is the better offensively skilled player Lebron is better in terms helping a team win. It just is what it is.

Speaks volumes on how weak the East is. At what time was the Heat not heavily favored in any of their series on their way to the finals? Then once they got there and faced a true test we see what happened :yeshrug:

and every nba player will tell you kobe>lebron

bron the product of the system

:mjlol:.......you really trying to insinuate Lebron is only good because of the system he plays in.....I hope not, ...cause if so, you just lost all credibility!!! I got my own opinion about Kobe vs Bron, but that last statement was flat out stupid!

Yea, player vs player in their prime eye test and anyone will say Kobe is still the better player. Obviously not better overall player, but you'd be crazy to say Lebrons a better scorer.
:comeon:

And if you put Kobe on Lebron's team, he wins too.

No way he balls up in a corner against Dallas. No way he loses to San Antonio twice either, especially when he made San Antonio his bytch almost every time they've played. And Im not sure he loses to Golden State....maybe....maybe not. Yea. He probably would've lost that one.

Kobe doesn't win any of the three championships Lebron lost if he plays on those teams. They get swept by the Warriors last year if you replace Kobe with Bron. Bron lost to the Spurs once, (though he should have lost twice), but last years Warriors team wouldn't have beaten that Spurs team from 2 years ago, the way they played in the finals, so replace Kobe and Bron, and you get the same result. They don't beat Dallas either, because Kobe and Wade couldn't play together at the time (Wade was not yet accustomed to playing without the ball), and Kobe dominates the ball. I'm not really a fan of either one, though i can appreciate how great both are. But some of y'all nikkas just be reaching to put one nikka above the other.

Bruh, i aint trying to go at you but this shyt sounds crazy. First off, you taking Kobe over Jordan is just plain :bryan:. Jordan dominated in probably the most physical era in basketball. Guys like steph wouldn't have been as good in those times, because they would have beat the shyt out of him. Back in the 80's a shooter hit 2 in a row, he was put on his ass. League is soft now. Second, Lebron is probably the greatest SF to play the game. I have been watching Durant for years, since he was in high school playing down at the Goodman league, and as a scorer, Lebron shouldn't be mentioned in the same sentence, but Lebron does everything else at a so much higher level. The fall off is much greater than your realizing. Go look at player's field goal percentages when playing with Lebron, then without. His impact is much greater than just his numbers.

You right, I forgot about 07. I was really just talking about his 3 recent finals losses. But to keep it 100, put Kobe on that 07 Cavs finals team, and they still loose. My point is still the same, Kobe looses the same finals that Lebron lost, if you swap them out. I aint saying who better, just calling a spade a spade.
