Since this is probably Kobe's last season playing, I guess it's time to admit

And LeBron has been much more successful during that time, individually and teamwise.

By going 2-4 in the NBA Finals over that span?:jbhmm:

Kobe's won the NBA Finals in 2 out 3 chances...surrounded by lesser teammates in 8 of the 13 seasons over the time span. LeBron has had 6 chances to win, but has only won 2 times...even though he was surrounded by better teammates in 8 of his 13 seasons than Kobe has been according to you.:ohhh:

How is that "more successful" then? Kobe's harboring a 66% success rate, LeBron a 33% success rate, but you're saying LeBron has been much more successful?:dwillhuh:

At the end of the day Kobe haters will never give him credit for anything....after Shaq left these are the same dudes who said Kobe would never win again and he ended up winning 2 more....then all of a sudden Pau Gasol was the greatest thing to ever happen to Kobe even tho he had barely even sniffed the playoffs before he became a Laker :russ:

At the same time their logic does a complete 180 when dealing with Lebron. Lebron never had good enough teammates, Lebron had to do all of the work......going as far as to downgrade Bosh and Wade simply to shine a better light on Bron. They want it to be one way for Kobe but the another way for Bron when it comes to these "team" arguments.

Kobe has spent half of LeBrons career in the lottery and getting booted in the first round. So yeah, losing in the finals is a lot more successful than missing the playoffs entirely.

Also... winning is irrelevant when comparing players.. Barkley is a top 3 power forward even though he's a loser... put kobe in lebron's team and he doesn't make it to the finals... give lebron shaq and he doesn't force shaq out the lakers... instead they become a dynasty

Also.. Kobe never shot above 47 %

:childplease:"5>2" isn't a crazy argument its a fact, and "Shaq" can be countered wit "Wade & Bosh":ufdup:LeBron had to go to Miami to win and Kobe won without Shaq but LeBron hasn't won without Wade & Bosh. And:mjlol:@ doesn't have more rings because he's better at basketball, this is the dumbest post I ever seen on this subject.

Shaq was the best player in the league in every single one of those championship seasons for LA. You can't say that for any team LeBron has been on in his career, and its silly to counter that with Wade & Bosh especially when the former could barely stay healthy with a myriad of injuries as the seasons progressed and the latter was relegated to being a high end role player.

Kobe won without Shaq but added a star in Pau Gasol and a staple of quality role players to give him support. Did you see how shytty the Lakers were before he got that help? I'm pretty damn sure LeBron can win chips in that same circumstance, and wouldn't have needed to leave Cleveland if they surrounded him with the same type of support to begin with. How many titles you think Kobe is sitting on with the Cavs? Rhetorical question b/c the answer is zero.

Kobe shoots 6-24 in a goddamn closeout game of the NBA Finals and his team still wins against the big three Celtics. Why? Because its a team sport. LeBron played far better than in the '14 Finals and his team still lost in FIVE games because his support was ass. Yet you'll still hold that series L against him to prove a futile point. Its mind numbing how stupid that is, just think about that.

You win rings in this league as a team. Having a dominant player helps, but they won't win jack shyt unless the role players (or stars) around them can step up and contribute in a big way when they need it most. Kobe has more rings because his support has fulfilled that role far more often than LeBron's, and that's it.

5 Straight NBA Finals speaks to the sheer dominance of Lebron. Whether he wins any more or not it speaks volumes.

I'm a Kobe fan but I've had to admit while Kobe is the better offensively skilled player Lebron is better in terms helping a team win. It just is what it is.

I think if you put Lebron on any one of those Kobe teams that won championships he wins them too.

And if you put Kobe on Lebron's team, he wins too.

No way he balls up in a corner against Dallas. No way he loses to San Antonio twice either, especially when he made San Antonio his bytch almost every time they've played. And Im not sure he loses to Golden State....maybe....maybe not. Yea. He probably would've lost that one.

It speaks volumes about the shytty east more than anything. 7 teams entering the playoffs at .500 or worse is not a good look no matter how you slice it.
