This is a terrible take for a lot of reasons but I'll give you just 1.

The VP presides over the senate, so its worthless to have a strong Senator presiding over the Senate?

:what:
:dahell: thats completely meaningless unless it's tied 50/50

what the fukk has mike pence done to preside over the senate?

She's an excellent pick to unify the party. Her only perceived weakness is Trump but she'll be debating Haley when Trump throws Pence in the bushes.
Who would she unify? She lost her home state, she didn’t finish higher than 3rd anywhere and her base of support is affluent suburban white liberals of whom Biden doesn’t need to convince.

You're comparing Mike Pence who was resurrected from political suicide because of his evangelical ties to Elizabeth Warren, take a moment to think about that.
i'm comparing two vice presidents overseeing a senate that isn't a 50/50, so their input doesnt matter because a majority leader exists.

Did the democratic party not just elect several progressive candidates to Congress in 2018 mid-term?

Pence has had to break 13 tie votes in his 3 and a half years as VP in a Senate that has a Republican majority leader.

You literally asked who she would unify....clearly that is evidence of a progressive movement in this country.
There isn’t some “progressive” demographic that Warren shores up. Her supporters are overwhelmingly educated white processional class people, and the type that will vote for anyone but Trump. Bernie diehards don’t really fukk with Warren.

so pence votes with republicans and warren votes with democrats. you could just have a letter D as vice president for that effect :mjlol:

Bernie die hards aren't the only people who support Bernie or his ideals. You all love to deal in absolutes. Just like the average Warren voter (the demographic you keep touting) is not the totality of her support. There are plenty of people who like the idea of a progressive VP and then there are those who fear progressives that can compromise for a progressive like Warren who they feel they can work with unlike Bernie.

If you say so. I fail to see how Warren shores up any critical voting bloc. She didn’t even win her home state and didn’t finish higher than 3rd in any state.

You assume voters can be demarcated as “progressive” or “moderate” and that’s mostly a DC pundit way of looking of things. It’s about getting turnout among different demographics (age, sex, race, etc.)

So tell me, who does she unify? Who are these “progressives” she’s securing? Does she help with young people? Does she help with Black people? Latinos? White poor and working class? Her base of support are MSNBC viewers with NYT subscriptions.

Unifying the party isn’t a good argument for a Warren VP. The best argument for Warren as VP is her competence and abilities because its obvious that if Biden wins its gonna be the Weekend at Bernies presidency.

Wish all these old farts would just pack it up and go home.

not interested in the old democrat fight between them.

We should have some new leadership that’s above this nonsense that’s been going on for decades.

With all that said, I’m gonna go vote for whatever one of these old stanky fukkers makes it cause the alternative is way worse:francis:
