Bernie die hards aren't the only people who support Bernie or his ideals. You all love to deal in absolutes. Just like the average Warren voter (the demographic you keep touting) is not the totality of her support. There are plenty of people who like the idea of a progressive VP and then there are those who fear progressives that can compromise for a progressive like Warren who they feel they can work with unlike Bernie.
If you say so. I fail to see how Warren shores up any critical voting bloc. She didn’t even win her home state and didn’t finish higher than 3rd in any state.
You assume voters can be demarcated as “progressive” or “moderate” and that’s mostly a DC pundit way of looking of things. It’s about getting turnout among different demographics (age, sex, race, etc.)
So tell me, who does she unify? Who are these “progressives” she’s securing? Does she help with young people? Does she help with Black people? Latinos? White poor and working class? Her base of support are MSNBC viewers with NYT subscriptions.
Unifying the party isn’t a good argument for a Warren VP. The best argument for Warren as VP is her competence and abilities because its obvious that if Biden wins its gonna be the Weekend at Bernies presidency.
